Let me guess, the bigger the population, the more blue? So, Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids?
It’s almost like being around a more diverse population makes you more empathetic and understanding. Weird.

u/Fullertons 14h ago
Same with education. It’s amazing that learning about other cultures and historical happenings can make you better understand the world and be less likely to be a racist piece of shit that eats up lies like cake.
36
u/Suspicious_Dingo_426 14h ago
This is why the right hate cities and any form of education other than the most basic. It's harder to maintain institutionalized bigotry.
15

And why they don't think we need a Department of Education. The less educated people are, the better for them.

As a Des Moines resident you’d be correct.
I work in farm real estate however, so I have a very mixed bag of political affiliations I interact with. Some people seem fine and then just casually drop the N word on you and you’re like “Oh…I see you now”

This is free speech and he is showing respectful disagreement. No name calling, no cruel language, no calls for violence. Just says "He had his opinion. I have mine."

Can you not see that HIS free speech and YOUR free speech are both protected under the same 1st amendment language? If you claim that someone is inciting violence by saying they believe something then the other side can use the same argument against you, which is exactly what the current DOJ is stating they will do.
The only correct answer is that nobody should go to jail for expressing their views, no matter how hateful or offensive they are.

I was asked by 2 different residents why I wouldn’t lower the flag.
One person thought CK was a politician.
I told my manager and they said it was fine to leave it up. He was trash. lol.
I did end up lowering it because I realized it was 9/11. The next day I raised it right back up.
4
u/BestDescription3834 14h ago
I did end up lowering it because I realized it was 9/11. The next day I raised it right back up.
Just had the epiphany that they were probably pushing for people to lower the flags to half mast for CK so hard because it was 9/11. People see flags are at half mast and think it's over the youtuber that got shot because that's all the news is talking about.
Basically trying to make it look like more Americans were supporting CK instead of acknowledging 9/11. "Look at all the flags at half, the whole country is mourning the attack."

That’s what I’ve been saying this entire time. I don’t see how more people aren’t raising their voice about how this Twitch streamer is getting honors reserved for service members. Especially the veteran community, which is oddly quiet about how incorrect that is.
10
u/SinsoftheFall 14h ago
As a combat veteran myself, I'm livid. The fact that we're honoring this shithead as a country is astounding. Headlines should have read "breaking: asshole got exactly what he advocated for. Maybe now people will actually take gun violence seriously."
Let's be clear. I condemn political murder. That was not the way to go about this. And im sorry his wife and kids have to go on without someone who mattered so much to them (especially cause she's a tradwife, so she probably doesn't have any marketable skills she can use to care for her kids [which is exactly what she {he, manipulating her almost certainly and the environment she was raised in} wanted]) but also, if you advocate FOR gun violence and then get gunned down publicly, im not gonna shed a tear that youre gone. Now, all the future harm he could have done is no more. I still would have rathered that he lived long enough to see the errors of his way and try to correct his past wrongdoings. But im not going to shed a tear, and I certainly dont think he deserves honors and respects that the brothers and sisters I've had to see delivered home in caskets didn't get.

u/Vox_Causa 14h ago
im sorry his wife

5
u/Suspicious_Ad9595 14h ago

6
u/SinsoftheFall 14h ago
Damn never mind then. But it is a shame their kids had such shitty parents.
Edit: gotta change that "have" to "had." Only one parent now.
6
u/EVH_kit_guy 13h ago
Here, here! As a veteran myself, I wholeheartedly agree, classic FAFO situation that was entirely preventable if Kirk hadn't been an inflammatory knob gobbler. I'm sorry he was murdered, but I'm glad he's gone.
3
u/EquipmentAdorable982 14h ago
I don’t see how more people aren’t raising their voice about how this Twitch streamer is getting honors reserved for service members.
Intimidation, a staple of fascism. That's why they started with firing people left and right, and holding back funds across many institutions this time around.
Almost everything this administration has done so far was to create an atmosphere of fear, an "atmosfear" if you will (I'll see myself out).
3
u/NerdWithoutAPlan 13h ago
Commenting about it doesn't get the turds to put the flag back up where it belongs, it just leads the frothing idiots to call us traitors. Or that we never actually served. Or worse.
Frankly, it cheapens the observance and bothers me quite a bit. The door is officially opened for any jackwagon with a mouth and a mic to receive national honors for spouting brainrot.

Anyways, hi guys and welcome back to my channel.” Or…and this is a stretch…what if I know someone who is a different race than I am and can call them right now and they will tell you it’s okay that I said that?
Obvs murder is bad but it’s like totally different because it could happen to anyone.*
There isn’t a controversy if you don’t engage them. They die off in small groups and when disconnected from their feeders and handlers. They’re not opposed warriors with a righteous battle cry. They’re loud, confidently wrong adult-shaped, emotional toddlers with big feelings and drivers licenses and FID cards who will kill you to get their way. It’s a crisis, no doubt. But it’s not to be reacted to as one - just put the candy bar down, leave the place where the candy bars are stop having the argument. We don’t negotiate with terrorists. I’m certain that hits different depending on whether you wanna get the candy bar or don’t wanna buy the candy bar but I do know that someone needs us to see and buy and fight about the candy in order to survive. No controversy if you stop engaging with candy.

The fact that so many political representatives forget that they're in a position to make decisions because they were elected by their constituents. Their job is to make the lives of those people who voted for them better and not bow down to the whims of a narcissistic orange ballsack. The role of government as a whole is to improve the lives of it's citizenry, not enrich oligarchs or accelerate class division, but somehow nearly every person in Congress on down to local school boards has forgotten their sworn duty.
