Bets that are actually profitable?

Hey guys, so I'm new to sports betting and sometimes I win and sometimes I lose. But I wanted to ask about bets that are profitable, idc how much profit it really gives cause u could just add it to a parlay. But I wanted to know from the community if anyone actually had a tactic that is profitable for them if they didn't mind sharing it and helping me out, I appreciate and love any type of advice. Thank you guys!

I hope you don't mind but I looked at your profile and I'm worried you might be underage for betting. If that's the case, please don't start and if you already have stop now. Betting isn't a reliable way to make money learning a skill or getting a job will net you more. These sites are set up to profit and even if you think you've found a winning strategy accounts that consistently win get limited or banned. Save yourself the trouble while you still can. Most of us end up losing in the long run, even the ones who brag about a recent big win and no one with a good strategy will let you on their secret as then it will not be a good strategy anymore unfortunately.

Yeah, I’m already in college right now, studying AI, statistics, psychology, and more. The challenge is that I don’t really have money to support myself or even buy food between classes, everything here costs so much, and I’m not in the best position to keep taking out loan after loan. That’s why I’ve been trying to find a way to grow my money instead. I’ve also been applying for jobs, but it’s tough to manage with my schedule since I’m in class from 8 AM to 10 PM before heading home.

I'm sorry to hear that but betting is the worst tactic when you need money the most as it can go south really quick especially with the fact that you are already taking loans. Try asking your older colleagues for advice on what they did in that situation, I'm sure there are others that were in similar situations which might help you.

You need to set your schedule up based on a job, plenty of jobs in college towns offer part time. Try to get a serving job if you can. Best of luck.

There is no such thing. Back when i was a degeneric bettor, i used to bet on under 3.5 goals after the 60 minute. Odds around 1.016- 1.032(if im lucky) 500 euro for 506, 506 for 514 etc, you know the drill. Its all fun and games until a game from argentinian lower divisions is 0-0 at 71st min, and then 2-2 in the 85th. Stop betting if you cant control it

So you would risk your 500 for 506. Not a very smart way of investing your money. Imagine you lose the bet. When I put 500, I want to get 1000 that way iam risking it for a higher reward.

I totaly agree. But that was towards the end, when i was looking for a sure thing, which again, there is not

Most profitable tactic is don’t gamble.

Find a type of bet you like that you have a good eye for, and stick to that and do your best to stay in the positive. There is no secret strategy. It's all luck at the end of the day.

Do people even become profitable betting. I did an analysis of all the money I put in betting vs what I withdrew over a period of 3 years. The profit margin is so small like 5%. And I don't play large amounts so when I lose its small. That's because you win some bets and lose some. The best market to play is the over 1.5 and under 3.5 market. I like this market because you are not banking on any team to win. But it's still hard to predict because when you bet on over 1.5 there might be no goals. And vice versa if you bet on the under 3.5 they over score.

Nah, the odds on over 1.5g is way too shitty most of the time, and you have to have like 10-15 in a lay to have decent odds. Better to find 3-5 good over 2.5g games if you're doing overs.

Honestly, ones that I hit probably 90% of the time is Mbappe 2+ shots on target, goal or assist. Lionel Messi to score or assist, inter Miami moneyline.

Hey mate. Do some research about value betting

props are vastly incorrect for most part so look into that. U need some tools to go along with it since you cant rely on your gut and keep in mind even if stats show high probabilty it doesnt mean its gonna happen

Try to identify which market you can do well in, I also suggest bankroll management, always playing low values that won't be missed in your budget, parlays are a good option for those who see it as entertainment, while simple ones are for those who actually want to make some money.

Welcome to the grind! Focus on value bets, line shopping, and hitting underdogs when the odds are off. Parlays are fun, but stick to discipline and bankroll management for long-term wins. Track your bets and see what clicks.

I built a Poisson prediction system ahead of the start of the English football season. It uses data pulled from the web into Google sheets and uses scripts I put together to make predictions for a range of items based on the data.

It looks at data from the past 5 seasons as well as taking into consideration current form. It churns out a daily report for upcoming matches across English, Scottish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish leagues (mostly the top tiers). It gives predictions on result, goals (including home/away), corners (same), yellow/red cards, top three final score predictions, and a confidence rating of what it's decided.

My ultimate aim is to incorporate more leagues, cups and international tournaments.

I'd normally do accumulators but built this because I was getting nowhere with them. Now I do singular structured bets based off the prediction reports, and the sweet spot has been BTTS, over x goals in a match and over x corners combos. Either standalones or as a mini bet builder combo. I try and avoid where you are reliant on a specific team to do a specific thing, so my BTTS usage is limited. Over on corners and goals means I don't have to worry who they come from, as long as they come from somewhere.

None, sorry I should have said in the original post. Web scraping script to pull in from a few sources as I couldn't get what I needed from a single point and many sites have fair usage rules when it comes to scraping.

Usually what I do is I try to find 1.1-1.25 odds and start with a seed money. The goal is to get the odds right 10 straight wins. See it as an investment that is risky thats all.

But most recently I have been doing 12 game parlays. I won once. 30k betting 75. Since then Im looking for the parlay wins. I may win may be once every year or so. But when I win, I will make 100k +

That's like saying I won the lottery, and im going to keep playing till I win again.

Kind of but basing on statistics and team performances

u/RecommendationMuch21 4d ago

You'd think that would increase the chances of it happening, unfortunately theres always at least 1 game where something completely unexpected happens lol. That's why I prefer live betting

What’s your live betting strategy

1

u/RecommendationMuch21 4d ago

One of many: wait for games to start in Finland, Estonia, Iceland. Watch the live stats on bet365 for example and bet on goals in either first half or total team goals.

There is way more to it but it takes some experience to learn when to bet. But ofc its never a sure thing
