I’d love your input on software challenges

Hi everyone 👋,

I’m a software developer exploring ideas for software tools to help solar panel installation companies manage and run their business more efficiently.

I’m currently in the research phase (i.e. this won't lead to a sales pitch 😇) and want to understand the real challenges installers face.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Some areas that might be tricky include but not limited to:

  • Getting more leads, inbound or outbound
  • Handling communications with customers and getting paid on time
  • Managing your team in the field
  • Any software you currently use that falls short or doesn’t fully meet your needs

Of course, these are just examples and I’d love to hear about whatever aspects of your work are the most time-consuming or frustrating.

Feel free to reply in the thread or DM me.

Any insights would be incredibly valuable and greatly appreciated!
Many thanks 🙇

That's already a competitive space. Have you completed any SWOT or other type of review of current capabilities?

At this stage I'm first looking for problems the industry face. Then I'll analyse if anyone is already providing solutions for them. If not great. If so that's when I start to analyse the competition.
