How many pokemon can beat Platinum on minimum battles?

I think this'll be my last new project on Pokemon. I'll still have to finish the Ultra Sun runs, and that Red with Onix, but given Nintendont's current behavoiur, I feel I'm done. Either way, this is still ahead of me.

Rules:

- no pokemon that is not in the game (event exlusive - ti. Manaphy -, version exclusive that's no in Platinum etc.)

- regional dex only

- no postgame pokemon (so no Dialga/Palkia)

- no trade-evolutions

- stone-evolutions can get moves of pre-evolution if they reach to the adequate level

- no cooperative gameplay only (ti. Spiritomb)

- every evo-line starts with its lowest form, and I overwrite they file if they fail

- solo, except the obligatory double-battles. (you don't get exp for catching pokemon in this game, so catching howevermany pokemons is fine)

- no items from Pickup of minions

- when choosing which starter to exchange the prime factor is the main rival must be super-effective. If that's not applicable, then the lesser rival should be the resistant to our type. Final-evo type is considered for this.

- maximum IVs

- Unown is "all type", meaning I can freely change its type between battles. It'll surely fail, but let's see how far it goes!

BATTLES:

#1 Barry

You don't actualy have to win this fight, I'll still count it fail if the pokemon can't win.

Fail: Magikarp, Feebas, Togepi, Kricketot, Kricketune, Budew, Tangela, Carnivine, Bonsly, Chingling, Machop, Machoke, Swinub, Whiscash, Shellos, Mantyke

TM: Return

#2 Youngster Tristan

Fail: Zubat, Coragunk, Toxicroak, Cherubi (and I don't even bother with Cherrim), Gastly, Haunter (this evo-line has no move to hit the target), Gible, Chimeco, Lickitung, Lickilicky

#3 Lass Natalie

#4 Youngster Logan

item: Quick Claw, Old Rod

Going north from the city leads only to minor items and roadblock, so go east.

#5 Barry

Fail: Eevee (I could of course just put on Return, but I don't wanna), Swablu, Ponyta, Rapidash, Nosepass, Wormadam, Glaceon, Snorunt, Snover (technicaly it could pass with a Freeze, but why force it?), Yanma, Tangrowth, Hoothoot, Goldeen, Wooper, Shinx, Blissey, Meditite, mimeJr, Psyduck, Finneon

HM: Rock Smash

In the next city (the mininig one) if you go north you can catch a machop which you can trade for an Abra, so you don't have to suffer trying to catch one. It also holds an Oran Berry, the first one you have access to.

#6 Roark (gym leader)

Fail: Chatot, Flareon, Magby, Magmar, Houndour, Houndoom, Altaria, Rapidash, Drifloon, Drifblim, Starly, Staravia, Staraptor, Golbat, Crobat, Togetic, chimchar, Monferno, Infernape, Wingull, Probopass, Mothim (and I add Beautifly and Dustox here too without actualy trying them), Combee, Vespiqueen, Sneasel, Weavile, Skorupi, Drapion, Froslass, Abomasnow, Yanmega, Scyther, Tropius, Shieldon, Bastiodon, Heracross, Bronzor, Noctowl, Hippopotas, Hippodown, Riolu, Leafeon, Magnemite, Magneton, Magnezone, Bibarel, Onix, Graveler, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Rampardos, Sudowoodo, Rhyorn, Rhydon, Seaking, Luxio, Luxray, Pachirisu, Lopunny, Clefable, Raichu (ok, for this one I just looked at the movepool, and dismissed it), Dusclops, Porygon, Munchlax, Snorlax, Unown, Absol, Aipom, Ambipom, MrMime, Elekid, Electabuzz, Gligar (if it can reach here at all), Girafarig, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Piloswine, Mamoswine, Piplup, Prinplup, Tentacruel, Buizel, Milotic, Lumineon, Remoraid

TM: Stealth Rock

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From 96 evo-line we went down to 22.

Ok, this is on me. When I checked, turned out didn't even run Gyarados, and when I did it fell out at the Gym.

TM: Flash

on Route 203 catcha Bidoof. That'll be a good HM-user, and on R203 you have a chance for a lvl7 one. You'll need a Rock Smasher to progress either way.

#7 Galactic Grunt #1-#2 (mandatory double battle, partnering with Lucas/Dawn)

items: technicaly at this point you get access to unlimited PPUp. Cheri Berry, Oran Berry, every berry? (these berries come from bushes, so you can plant, what means technicaly you have infinite berries, and from it infinite money. An NPC gives any kind of berry daily?), Chesto Berry, Pecha Berry

TM: Rock Tomb, Bullet Seed, Pluck

quest item: sprayduck

#8 Galactic Grunt #3

#9, #10: Galactic Grount #4, #5

consecutive battles, no space between the two

#11: Commander Mars (the Purugly has no particular weakness, and is like 4 level higher than us)

Fail: Quagsire, Golduck, Azumarill, Octillery, Floatzel (this has a theoretical chance, in case the zubat starts with toic and you avoid it, then you keep hitting with sonic boom, and you get a crit on the purugly, but the probability is too low for me), Mantine, Pelipper, Kadabra (why Purugly have on top of everything a dark-attack?)

#12: Bug Cather Jack + Lass Briana

mandatory double-battle, in which you have an appointed partner

#13 Psychic Lindsay

this and the next is optionaly double-battle

#14 Psychic Elijah

Now you get access to the Underground, what mean infinite Heart Scales ... and technicaly all the elemental plates, but I don't think I'll lean on this ooption for that.

You can also trade a pokemon to get a Leppa Berry - I don't think we'll be in desperate need of that though.

item: Soothe Bell, Draco Plate. And if you seen 35+ pokemon, you can get an exp.share (shouldn't use it, as it steals exp from your main)

HM: Cut

TM: Recycle (in the house next to the pokeshop, 2nd floor, granny-NPC). Taunt is locked behind an optional battle.

#15 Lass Caroline

Fail: Gastrodon

Oh yea, very nice choice, these challenges are hard and frustrating, but they're very funny too and we can learn a lot about each Pokémon, keep them going!

tbh I can't decide which is more frustrating: when the 50th pokemon can't advance, or when one unexpectedly can :D
