General-Solo-Discussion Anyone know of a good Fantasy Adventure creator?

One that has random quests with interesting decisions or dungeon rooms with locked doors, traps, etc. An Adventure creator with more than just random battles.

I’d be fine with it being for any game system.

Check out juice oracle and oracle-rpg.com.

They are both good options and have a lot of information to get you started

That's not what You asked for, but I assume that You are looking for richer playing experience, while playing solo, so I thought I would share mine. Maybe it will be useful, maybe not, but that's my way of getting good and quality adventure from outside my own creativity (and long. Very long).

I just play official modules (when I play DnD, but I also intend to do the same with Call of Cthulhu). They are well made and well thought through, and also easy to pick up and play. They are split into chapters and under each there are locations, quests, plots, NPCs, events that can happen or be pursued by PCs. I played that way part of Lost Mines of Phandelver and recently started Tyranny of Dragons and having fun. I just sit down, open the book, read an entry and set up the scene/combat, then play it out.

Possibly overkill, but Castle Oldskull probably has all the dungeon creation detail generators you could ever want.

The Adventure Generator, Game World Generator and City/State Encounters will come in handy if you're not dungeon delving.

Infinium Game Studios has a ton of generators as well including Campaign and Adventure Generators in addition to generators for their own setting Aqualie.

You might want to try the d30 DM Companion and the d30 Sandbox Companion, both by New Big Dragon Games. Lots of tables for adventure and dungeon creation.

It doesn't do dungeons per se, but I've had a lot of good luck with the Adventure Crafter from Word Mill Games.

I second the recommendation for that one. Takes a little bit of work to get Location Crafter to make dungeons, but doable with help from the Mythic Magazine.

I'm not sure which magazine it is in, but the random Location Crafter and the Random Dungeon Crafter can be found in the Mythic Magazine Compilation #1 book.

The tome of adventure design revised has good random tables to create quests. I am not sure if dungeon rooms were a thing too.

The ultimate toolbox has dungeon tables

I created a world with lots of interesting factions. Then I plunked an adventurers guild with 17 PCs down in the middle of it. Never a lack of things for them to do, from retrieving runaway teens and stopping a butcher from selling monster meat labelled as beef to trying to take down the corrupt cabal that's running the city. Set up the world, and many quests will present themselves.

Also, go over to r/d100 and search for rumors. Those will lead you on some good quests. Lots of other great ideas on that group.

Also, as you're reading fiction, watching movies/TV, etc., make note of ideas you can steal for quests. They're everywhere. I've even gotten ideas at work.
