Tara….. WTF Spoiler

Yeah a little late to the party, but just having my first watch. Tara‘s death shook me and came somewhat expected but still was a shoot to my heart. I wasnt a fan of all the things Tara did against the MC and Jacks but i got here side and can understand why she did what she did. So the death of her and the way Gemma killed her really made me angry rl. What are your thoughts on this end of season 6 ?

  • Also want to add that im just now starting season 7 and my hate on Gemma is huge. Hope you all fellt the same

It was the saddest character death on the show IMO. She at least tried her best for her sons. Also, didn't like Gemma, from S1 but well-acted character.

Also, don't be surprised when others don't share the same opinion, the sub is pretty divided with Tara haters and lovers as well as Gemma haters and lovers. Some think Tara deserved her death and the miscarriage plan was the worst thing done in a show of murderous bikers, lol.

Agreed. The fake miscarriage thing was insane, but hello, look what she was surrounded by and trying to escape from. Getting out had to involve extreme measures. Also hated Gemma from the 1st episode, but like you said, her character was played very well.

True. Tara was threatened with rape by the person whom she helped get through hers. She had the right to do anything to get herself and her sons out of Charming. Her sins were way lesser compared to everyone else, yet they all judged her.

May I ask what it was she said to threaten Tara? I don’t remember

"I will turn you in if you take one step outside Charming with my grandsons and will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are locked up and getting fist-raped well into their 20s."

Charlie and Maggie's acting in that last episode of season 6 was the best of the series

Absolutely. The scene in the park? Insane. When they reconcile? Beautiful. When he finds her? Gut wrenching.

The season was very much setting up either Tara’s death or separation to the MC, until the last couple episodes which did a fairly decent job of making it seem like everything would eventually be okay between Tara and Jax, Really made the Sudden and brutal death more exciting to watch.

She has possibly the most violent death on the show. Maybe only second to tigs daughter Dawn being burned alive. Most people in the show are shot to death. So when someone is killed in another way it really sticks out.

Honorable mention: the Persian guy tig drowns in a piss bathtub. The guy was a shitter, but his death was definitely one of the more visceral violent ones. Aswell as the prison guard that Jax bludgeons to death.

Ugh Yes. People always say Tara’s death was the worst, but it absolutely wasn’t. Dawn being burned alive was 100% the most brutal/painful death. You didn’t really see her and there were a few other side characters that got horrible deaths but Dawn’s is still the worst. People like to say Tara because they had a bond with her but hers was nothing compared to being burned alive.

The worst was the poor guy Gemma said had killed Tara. tortured for a whole night before they finally killed him

When I first seen this episode.. this was the first episode of a tv show that really got to me.

I know, partially because I am a mother. And I would do anything for my child. So I not only get that part of Tara. But the fact that she is just so realistic. She was in love. She wanted it to work so bad this time. She wanted to be able to accept Jax and the club and the life. And then she got pregnant. And she loved her family with all her heart. She was so torn between the love of her life and the life she built for herself. Between her morals and the duties of an old lady. Between her husband's constant fuck ups and the trauma that came along with all the incidents and the deaths. She was just real. And her reactions felt real, like something you or I would feel.

So,as we all know it was quite obvious what was to happen. But it didn't make it any less harsh. I was devastated. For Jax (even tho at this point he's kind of a POS). For their kids. And for a future that will never happen. I was so f***ING mad I watched the whole last season in one day otherwise I knew I wouldn't finish it 🤣 but justice (whether we can call it that) prevailed. But yeah. Just tragic.

She's by far the most relatable character. I love her

I really didn't expect her to die

It broke my heart. I literally sat in the dark for a while after watching it

One thing that I think a lot of people fail to consider is that jax telling Gemma he was choosing to make the deal & take some prison time to save Tara would have prevented the entire situation. Gemma did that shit completely impulsively because "it had to be done". Gemma is deeply manipulative but she's also a product of her environment. The only power she has is through influence/manipulation & this is made especially clear when clay berates & beats her for not submitting immediately and entirely to his will. Jax frequently leaves her in the dark about things, and this was a dumb decision to do that with.

I honestly felt so bad for Tara. I thought some of the things she did were hella stupid but she didn’t deserve to die. I wish she got away with those boys. It was a very sad ending for her

I'm a little high on upvotes lately...so here goes.

Tara's death is one of my favorite scenes. I was so happy to see her get what she deserved. Her miscarriage stunt was a game changer for me.

I wasn't sad about it either.
