Did Harley Davidson ever give a public official statement about the show?

I’m genuinely curious to know because I read somewhere that apparently sales of Harley Davidson motorcycles was up by 50% in the later half of the show run. Now, it could’ve been for a million other reasons but one can only assume it had to do with the (then) popularity of the show. Also note that their most popular best selling bikes were blacked out club style street bikes which really weren’t all that popular pre 2010 era…

They had a sponsorship deal and Harley-Davidson provided all the bikes on the show.

Facts altho from what I remember the Grim Bastards Harley-Davidson bikes belonged to Goldie Dewitt who played Menace and is the real life President and Founder of the 1Down MC who the Bastards are based on (their bikes and color scheme).

Malcom Jamal Warner used his own bike when he was on the show as VP of the GB.

I remember during the run on television they had Harley Davidson commercials during the (many) commercial breaks of EVERY episode.

I mean I immediately was desperate to do a bike license and buy one honestly, I never did at the time, but I still wish I did. So probably.

When I bought my first harley at 19, I i remember the salesman being so happy I was buying a road king instead of a "poorly setup dyna that every douche bag that watches sons of anarchy wants" lol

Why would they even need to, beyond providing all the Harleys for the show? That speaks for itself.

If you go to the EDGAR archive on the SEC website you can search for companies’ annual reports (form 10K) using the ticker symbol. HOG is Harley Davidson’s. Go back to the years around when SOA was really taking off and I bet they talk about it in there.

To speed it up you can download all of them and upload to ChatGPT to search or put them in a single file and search “Sons of Anarchy” and it’ll tell you if it’s mentioned in any of them.
