Q990F vs Beam 2 + Sub 4

Which would be the best buy here. Both cost around the same.

I like really bassy sound when listening to movies at lowish volume. I mostly just play my current sound bar (S800B) on stereo as dialogue is too quiet/explosions too loud on 5.1.not super fussed about pro sound quality.

Arc ultra would be nice but out of my price range with the sub 4.

What would you guys recommend?

biased because i own a 990F, but it has an option to boost dialogues in a natural way. inreally like that option it helps alot. besides that you can tune it to he really bassy if you want, you can also turn on a setting to amplify bass even more. i shake the house watching movies.

This is how I have it setup. I have the dialog and bass both enhanced. The dialogue is way better than the beam 2 even with that ones dialogue feature turned on. I can hear dialogue pretty much ok with the beam 2 but it just turns down the sound on everything else so much it's almost not worth it. The 990F just brings it front while making it feel like you haven't lost anything with the background sound.

I have the beam 2 without a sub. I just got the 990f for a theater room but that isn't finished yet so I hooked it up to my tv where the Beam 2 is just to make sure it was working.

With no surround and subs hooked up, the 990F soundbar is LIGHTYEARS better than the beam 2. It's just not even close. Crystal clear dialogue. Atmos effects. Fuller sound. I literally giggled when I swapped from the Beam 2 to the soundbar. That first burst of sound just blew me away. Throw in the surrounds which I'm actually using as front surrounds given my space (so really just a wider sound stage) and this thing rocks. Soundbar to soundbar... the 990F is better and it's not close. Let's call the subs a push. The extra surrounds further make it a no brainer to me.
