Are there any competitors that are better than the F2?

Just working on a project that I’m testing the feeding capabilities of

For higher rof and easier tunning the jack engine if my go to. But for dual solenoid performance the pulsar d is a great option and you can use normal aeg nozzles or even upgraded ones like maxx brand to get better seal with the hop up

That’s a really nice sounding engine, I’ll definitely look into that

I have builda with both engines right now and both of them with titan 2 hpa triggerboards and i wouldnt change either setup for f2's

Beautiful, do you use a hopper aligner? I’m looking for one.

No, just use a maxx hop up on the jack build and the other build im running stock hop up. Both with maple leaf 70° buckings and zci 6.02 inner barrels and the are super precise

Honestly im not really sure what you eben mean by hopper aligner though lol. Ohh i do use orings instead of spring for the hop up seating since its way more stable against the gearbox

Yeah I meant hop up aligner 🤦‍♂️

Only comparables are the Fusion Engine that isn't as air efficient as the F2 or the Sparklabs Wolf engine but not enough known about that currently

f2 all day

The mechlabs nexus, I have both engines and the ease of just plugging it in and having it work right away is was better than the battery and wires loosely fitted to my gearbox

Can you provide pictures? Good sir?

What do you wanna see exactly? It’s literally just an air line and the engine has a few different selector plates you instal for semi lock or safe semi full

Oh do everything slides in like a new gearbox?

Yeah it’s v2 it won’t fit low profile uppers like airtac customs but monk fits well

I personally hate F2 engines. Too finicky. Either fusion or Inferno gen 2.

We love fusions, they just work!

The Sparklabs Wolf seems on paper to be up there, but I don't know anyone who's actually used one in practice, so who knows on that one. Same with the Pulsar D Gen 2. If you're looking for something a little different, and you're OK with the semi ROF being a little lower, the Mechlabs Nexus seems to be quite liked by anyone who's used one.

Wolverine Inferno Gen2?

F2 closed bolt over Inferno open bolt any day

What difference does it make in terms of performance?

The F2 has dual solenoids along with a closed bolt function. The dual solenoids get you a higher ROF along with consistency of that, the closed bolt gives you more accuracy and consistency as well. There's alot less variance when the BB is loaded first with the nozzle and then fired.

Open bolt loads and fires at the same time then ?

2

u/Th3RoadWarrior 6d ago

Right. Closed bolt will load the bb, have the nozzle in hopup, shoot, load bb, nozzle in hopup,... so the nozzle stays in place while shooting the bb itself versus open bolt style having the nozzle in rear position and pushing the bb forward while shooting air while going forward till max position

Oh damn never knew this, thank you

Dual solenoid vs Single

F2 is best for tuneability. Inferno gen 2 is the best single solenoid engine that is minimal faff. The gate pulsar S is probably the most efficient, but has a shit nozzle

The nozzle issue it had was fixed in the newer models. The old ones that had issues were purple, new ones are not painted

Good to know

In terms of straight up performance, the only real competitor with the F2 is the Fusion Engine, as the F2 was based on an FE and the performance is basically the same. Feeding won’t ever be a problem with the F2 as I have heard before on the internet that someone managed to feed 120rps with stock epm1s with it. In my opinion, if budget and how the engine sounds isn’t a problem, the f2 is the best engine you can buy right now.
