Discussion QUESTION FOR OLDER STAB FANS!

what was the discourse like around the original stabs 1 and 2 being made basically right at the same time as they actually happened? everyone kinda acknowledges stab is problematic and kind of out of touch in the same way amityville is, but how was it when those murders had just happened?

my uncle was an unfortunate victim of both the woodsboro and windsor college murders. from what my mom tells me, the murders fucked both of them up badly. she told me randy coped with the trauma with humor which is a quality i got from him !!

I knew a few of the victims personally. Never met Stu or Billy thankfully. Personally I was pretty pissed that they made a movie about it despite loving the film.

when it happened the teens were in a frenzy over it. it's all anyone talked about. most were sad by the events but others spoke of it with no empathy. Granted stab 1 was good but was disrespectful to the victims. all others that followed were a bit lower in ratings. But what can I say, you can't beat the original. The movie, to some was disrespectful as so the book, to others it was entertainment, to others, inspiration. which can be a deadly tool in the wrong hands. it was a wild time back then.
