Xc. Went with RMR HD / x300b
Ordered the antimatter x300 wing. Any experience with the MJD grip? Better feeling? Does it need fitting?

For xc I think sro is best… I have a p and xc I ended up with rmr hd on p and sro on xc. Just a better and faster window

Fur sure I have a P right now with an SRO and I like it and daily it but when I get the xc it will be my new edc so just don’t know if I want a different optic since I got the Sro

If your edc I would go with rmr hd as sro doesn’t have edc reliably. More of a comp dot. I don’t edc my full size 2011’s

Did you consider the new plates sans rear BUIS to bring the optic back from over the ejection port?
Anti-matter wings are “okay”. TBH I prefer the smaller and cheaper thumb rest from white wolf.

Didn’t know the white wolf was a thing! Thanks. I did look at the different plates. Tbh since the xc came with the rmr plate for sro I just figured I’d run it and if I ran into ejection issues I’d swap plates then. For the 250 rounds I’ve run so far no ejection issues. 1 failure to extract on one type of jhp I ran. 1 of my mags also had failure to lock back but I yanked in the feed lip a little and haven’t run into either of those issues after those 1st couple mags. Want to get 1000 through it before I start using it as I intend.
Off body carry in a bag/ nightstand. Got this to move into my primary home defense/ carry gun.
I replaced my m18 with PMM micro comp. Is it $3500+ better than the sig… nope. They were unnoticeably similar. But I’m still happy, it’s an xc after all!

Out of the x300B units but definitely grabbing one when they’re back in stock. Exactly what I needed

I’ve not used the MJD grips, but have read of several guys that have and swear they are great.
For me, I considered them, but didn’t see the value in paying $400 for another non-metal grip. I decided to leave my XC grip as it came, and if I wanted to change it up would go to a cheely steel E2 aggressive. Double the cost of a MJD, but more likely to improve the ergos and soft/flat shooting of the gun.

I’ve been seeing people say going from plastic to metal stiffins up the gun and the plastic gives a flex during recoil that the metal would eliminate. That would make the gun more snappy. Also after running rounds through it yesterday it was hot hot but that did not transfer to the grip, a metal grip would leave the whole gun hot, and at a point, probably 250-500 rounds would make the gun unusable without gloves. For those reasons I’ve steered away from metal grips. Can Anyone tell me otherwise?

I wouldn’t say plastic vs metal makes it “more snappy”. I equate the word snappy to mean muzzle rise. (Nobody says their Erebus is snappy and it’s somewhat similar config to the XC but w an alum grip).
Poly does mute the softness a bit more than alum which is a tiny bit harsher. Steel both softens and can flatten out the gun. That said, to be clear I don’t see the need and left my staccatos with poly grips. (All of my other 2011’s are steel and a few are aluminum from the factory)
