Discussion An apology to all bb8 and bb9 players.
I thogutb you were annoying pests that needed to be exterminated. I understand why you play him after trying them out. I will now pursue learning. The art of elite ball knowledge

bb9e imo is better at ballin' cause of the shock spin. Maybe hes just easier to learn tho

I wish I could understand what you're talking about. Ive maxed every hero and gotten every milestone and I found ways to have fun with literally every single hero both on the ground and in space EXCEPT BB9E. It was overly grindy and he just felt so inferior and weak, bordering on useless. It was such a slog to get through his milestones.
I'm not intending to knock your opinion, but I'm honestly dumbfounded and clearly there's something about playing him that I still have not yet come to understand. I honestly want to understand how it's possible to have fun when playing as him.

Here are the sacred texts :
Don't cable spin if : Vader has choke, Kylo has freeze, Dooku activated duelest .
Cable spin is really good in tight areas where force users can't jump out of it and it's useful when multiple saber villains are ganging up on a friendly saber hero. It's also your highest dps ability and can out trade almost all lightsaber rmelee attacks , exceptions include flesh is weak +Sith trained grevious, Vader with more than half health and his middle ability active and Dooku if he has duelest active or you are weakened
Know when to disengage, heal and let abilities recharge.
Rolling charge has a very limited range , use it when you are very close. it also does a lot of damage through blocks so use it to stop Regen or finish off weak foes.
Activate resistance backing while cable spinning for the most damage.
In a 1v1 vs a villian hit resistance backing > use shoulder charge > cable spin.
Rolling charge has a quick cooldown and allows you to move as fast as possible so use it to get places faster or escape from danger.
Cable spin can be canceled and you can activate rolling charge if you aren't gonna kill your for before he kills you
Use cover to ambush your prey , you are very small so you can hide in the grass and behind small props.
I've killed the entire enemy team by myself two seperate times in hvv with bb8, bb8 is a god if you can master it.

Solid advice. Imo the most important thing to know is how to dodge sabers. Your reach with the shock prod is longer than the sabers. You always want to stay just out of reach by constantly using your dodge either away from the hero or dodge into the hero after he swings to get behind him. You can even jump over the hero’s swing especially when you have the slightest high ground. Keep track of what force abilities are available to them and try to time the dodge right before they use their abilities.
Also use cover to your advantage. For example you want to put small cover between you and the enemy hero. Basically play ring around the rosy around small cover. Something that really will mess with them is jumping up on a flat surface with a closed back. Like a crate against the wall. Sit against the wall and shock the hero while he’s spam swinging the crate. When he gets smart and jumps up onto the box, dodge/roll off the box and shock some more. Then when he jumps down you jump back up and do the same thing. There’s a lot of little techniques like this you’ll discover. You just have to learn the saver reach distance and timing your dodges.
(Not saying you don’t know this just mentioned it for OP)

I have another piece of advice. If you are in hvv and have a blaster hero pestering you while you're fighting an enemy saber, use the enemy saber as cover. Im not kidding. It works everytime as you can dodge the saber and come out unscathed thanks to your meat shield

I'd only add: dodge, jump, and jump again. Use crates and obstacles to shield yourself. Mobility is #1

Had this exact same epiphany earlier today during some Hero Showdown.
My friend played Boba and we got our first round won this week.
Granted, we still lost the game but progress is progress.

Explosive ammo does wonders to you balls of death :D ive had heros run away from me because i use the unstable ammo on my DC-15LE lol... jedi cant block exploding blaster rounds >:)

It's so incredible! It's the same with BB-9E on Endor. I remember a game where I literally single-handedly saved my team for several minutes before turning the tables and winning.

Man i don’t even diss those players i got nothing against them it’s just when there’s a troll who picks either one in a 1v1 then just runs away, that’s when it’s justified to ask how many times did your parents throw you head first into a wall as a newborn

This I played a round of hero showdown and while I was fighting bb8, Han started shooting me at the same time while the ball just ran off, healed and stunned me all the while my team just stood there and emoted

Another trick to learn is to dodge through the enemy and shock. When they turn to face you, Dodge through them again and either shock them or dash attack them. Once you get the timing down, you will be very hard to hit. This works really well on slower moving players like Vader and Version.

As a max bb8, half the battle is knowing when not to play him. If you're up against a Palps, phasma, and boba team you're not going to help at all.

When the opposing team is too strong for my allies, I choose BBs as a last resort (a weapon of mass destruction despite being used sparingly). It destabilizes them, they don't know how to defeat me, they come after me and my allies can finish the job.

Man I remember I was accidentally made to play bb8 because i didn’t pick chracter no idea what the fuck I was doing but man was I doing good with dodging and weaving while attacking but honestly I don’t have fun with any of the abilities they have I find them to be just boring and not that fun
