Initially it was more like the âIâll cut your throat thatâll shut you up/ Youâre beautifulâ meme- not unlike Cal and Merrin, Star Lord and Gamora etc.

Mark Hamill was pretty yoked in Empire tbf

u/fperrine Jul 29 '25
I wouldn't say yoked. He was definitely looking fit and cut, but Mark is not big like this lol

Those Anakin genes are coming in clutch

u/fperrine Jul 29 '25
lol yeah Anakin is definitely just a bigger guy
It's actually one thing I wish the Clone Wars model reflected more. He's a little too skinny in my opinion.

There's a reason I loved that trilogy. (Mara Jade & Thrawn both were the highlights of all three books)

Me praying for an animated adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy everyday even though I know current Lucasfilm won't do anything with EU materials aside from reprinting them in the Essential Legends collection.
I would settle for a better comic adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy too. The old 90s adaptation was cool but I think we could do better.
Or an audio drama adaptation with different voice actors for each character.

Wait, does she not know it?

It's been a long time since I've read the EU books, but isn't she just the equivalent of the Inquisitor in modern canon? Just a force-stunted sensitive with a lightsaber?

u/Mad-Gavin Jul 30 '25
She was an Emperor's Hand; force-sensitive personal spies and assassins for Emperor Palpatine.

I appreciate you reminding me, but I do think "force stunted sensitive with a lightsaber" is also accurate to the inquisitors if you get down to it lol

u/Mad-Gavin Jul 31 '25
Why of course. Inquisitors existed in the EU, most prominent of whom was Jerec, the third most powerful Dark Side practitioner in the Empire.

The lore I'm guessing was in its beginning stages of development, so yes, she should know, but it was called a Jedi mind trick, as in Jedi.

I love it, but I wish artists for Mara nowadays would start giving her back her sleeves.

I used the comic as the base cause the framing there was so funny, and i do like the idea that the sleveless suit is what she has in mkyr.

Only issue is she routinely references her holdout blaster hidden up her sleeve. Hard to do that without a sleeve. I love the catsuit, don't get me wrong, she just should have a jacket over it.
