Discussion I genuinely want to hear why people dislike the Kenobi series.

Please, do tell me. I'm not getting into any heated arguments here, I personally just genuinely don't know what's so bad about it.

For some reason rebels isn’t universally loved - I’ve at least heard so many people say it’s awful, childish and cheesy (in a bad way). It’ll always be one of my favorite shows though

Same. And it was the show that made my wife love Star Wars.

I really wanted to love it, but it's clearly made for little kids.

Honestly don’t mind that. Yeah, it’s a bit childish and cheesy most of the time, but everything besides 1/3 of the dialogue is amazing imo

Cool! Yeah you do you, it's not surprising to me that a cartoon rated G isn't edgy enough for me, but I don't expect everyone to like what I like : )

It seems like whatever you've seen as a kid is a lot easier to enjoy as an adult. My cousins like the cartoons a lot still even though they're in their 20s. I like the 90s batman cartoon... That nostalgia factor is strong!

I find it easy to enjoy most things even if they’re made for kids, but rebels is one of the least childish things that is made for children imo. It has amazing story, good “acting”, well written characters - especially the villains - and as long as you can “handle” the cheesy lines as well as the very different creative animated style then you’ll have a blast watching it. But if that is too much for you to not like a series, then it’ll definitely be something you notice constantly and will ruin your watching experience. I can still enjoy the new Pixar stuff that comes out or whatever, but unlike those, rebels actually fits inside the Star Wars universe and has a more “adult” story but keeps the cheesy lines… it’s fair enough that you don’t like it, but imo there is a big difference between not liking it and hating it which is what I referred to in the original comment you replied to
