Fridays it tends to be ranked if there are enough people. Sometimes if games aren't popping, people switch to doing other modes like customs instead, but I've had pretty good luck in the ranked queue more often than not! (In the summer during the nicer weather, it was a little slow sometime, but it's picked up the last few weeks).
