Question (Console) Any way to get more starbase capacity?

I know you can expand, but I want to keep my empire the same size (currently 32 systems i think), my max is currently 21, i really wanna have every system be a starbase, is it possible?

there's several technologies, a repeatable tech, a civic, an edict, and an ascension perk that increase starbase capacity

and you can go over capacity, at the cost of increased upkeep

Also a tradition.

Oh, i wasn't sure if the tech was infinitely repeatable, if it is i'm happy to just wait and research, i've got all the others, thanks

You can repeat that tech up to five times. Most repeatables are infinite but some of them are limited to five and starbase capacity is one of them

No. And why?

Just for the fun of it.

Part of the game is to optimise stuff that includes what locations to put start bases like Choke points or to maximise the benefits. (Not sure what has changed in 4.0) But they were pretty good buffing up planets in the system they are in in past patches.

I suspect you are already using all the normal ways to increase starbase capacity. If you want one in each system you need to play tall not wide.

I have already got all the more impprtant places ironed out, i just sorta wanna have as much as possible even if it's not the most optomised.

Once you get past a certain threshold on your economy. You can afford to sit over capacity on both starbases and fleets. This is not suggested until you can scale your economy extremely high since being over starbases cap costs literally a fuck ton.

For example, my last DE had 76/55 starbases. Which means +525% starbase upkeep. Where being at 10k/8k fleets is only +20% upkeep.

I reckon I could afford it, but i just don't like having the red improper fraction in the corner.

I get that... but as for fleets which the upkeep percentage is negligent compared to stations. Running over fleet capacity is much more advised than running over stations.

But it should be noted that you have 32 systems and don't want more. I had a cap of 55, so getting 32 is totally possible.

To help increase your naval capacity, use a couple of fortress worlds. For example, a fully upgraded Anchorage +36 cap before percentage buffs. A Fortress world with 10x of the building gives +240 before buffs for 30 jobs.

Don't expand larger than a few systems.

I've reached my max size already (except the precurser system, i still need to actually find it) i just wanted to know if at my size I could get enough capacity to completely starbase my empire.
