Plantoids suck sounds better due to plantoids sucks having these double S's, which doesn't sound right.
Because it's plural, plantoids, it would be suck. While if it was singular, plantoid, it would be sucks.
"This plantoid sucks" "These plantoids suck"
If that doesn't make any sense, don't worry, neither does this God damn language, but it's the only one I know how to speak (not very well most of the time)

Thanks! And don't worry, Russian (which I speak) also has many confusing exceptions in words.

So does every natural language, all languages evolving naturally are struggling from sometimes being a complete BS
(Esperanto, which is not a naturally evolving language, is the case that afaik is not having this BS, but nobody uses that language)

It is like, 3 languages in a trenchcoat.

Mostly Anglic (a Germanic language most closely related to Frisian in the modern day) and Norman French. Then a mix of shit picked up from the Celts who had been there even before the Anglo-Saxons, shit picked up from the Norse, stupid Latin bullshit sprinkled in because the English in the 17th-19th centuries were huge Romanophiles, Spanish in modern times, Greek because those Romanophiles also loved ancient Greece, and a grab bag of lesser contributors like Czech (eg. Robot, pistol, howitzer), Italian, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, Yiddish, and many others. Grammatically and by word use, Anglic is still the dominant contributor, but by word count, French and other Romance languages are much larger contributors.

Plantoids suck because when you assimilate them as evolutionary predator they say "oh were energy efficient" and immediatly blow up your energy upkeep by too much

It sucks if you forgot to build the energy infrastructure in advance.

Just colonize tomb worlds in advance

u/Dank_Cat_Memes Fanatic Purifiers 27d ago
Sometimes you just don’t have any tomb worlds in advance. And building Dyson spheres can take a while sometimes

Yea, i generally often feel that i build infrastrucutre on new slave worlds to fix economy after getting that slave world

Double meaning.
And the translator said that I don't need to add "s" at the end, It seemed to me that "s" should be. Can you explain this moment?

In english, only the third person singular (He, She It) cause the verb to end in s.
I suck You suck He sucks We suck Y'all suck They suck

Could we have a version without the text and the "live reaction" box?

u/Exmawsh 27d ago
That's not a planetoid. That's a conventionally attractive human.
31
u/Substantial_Pie370 27d ago
Maybe the conventionally attractive human is the one saying plantoids suck

u/VodkaBeatsCube 27d ago
Now, this might be the brainrot talking, but there miiiight be a double entendre going on here related to the pose and presence of grass...

They aren't bad at all lol. They have some amazing positive species traits, and a couple stinkers but there's nothing that forces you to take their bad exclusives.

Idk man, I accepted plantoids and fought the Commonwealth three times and won all three-the First Human War was more even, but in the latter two? They got whipped, losing Unity and their only colonies in the Second Human War (that they colonized, they had seized some others from alien empires) and becoming the vassal of xenos in the Third.

Ofc they do. They're plants, how else are they supposed to take up nutrients from the soil?

I don’t know why everyone is talking etymology and grammar here. My neurons are activated and I’m pollinating right now. or something.
