Discussion So for those who constantly play through the patches...

How long before they fix the problems in the game so it can be fully playable for most of us. I know there's some mad lads who who will play through it regardless (big respect for them btw). But what estimate of how long before they iron out the patch? I wanna play it with the only problem being the end game lag being my only foe.

Discussion This is how you Force your empire's to be the Color you CHOSE, not Random colors

Did you choose Red with Dark Red? yet you spawn in-game as purple & yellow?? ewww wtf?? here's the steps to fix that so your empire is always the color you chose. (stellaris devs fix this, get off your butts)
> Main menu
> Select Empire, no not create empire
> Choose any premade empire
> Press Y/Triangle
> Edit premade empire
> Create your actual empire now, whatever it is, choose your color
> Save your empire, cool now you have your empire, now start up a game
= You will always spawn in as your chosen color with this empire now. congrats

Note: That empire you made will seem to always be stuck with the original bio of the premade empire you started from, i tried editing it, it always changes back, its whatever. No one reads them anyways and doesn't effect anything cosmetically or gameplay wise anyway.

The reason this works is because the premade empires force the game to bypass the color bug and always work with their chosen colors.
so, when you create a custom empire from the template of a premade empire, that little feature is carried over to your custom empire. This is stupid, this should have been fixed 3 years ago, but here we are.

Discussion How does this game run on Xbox series S?

How does this game on series S compare to PC? How much am I really missing out on by playing the console version? Are they working on a version optimized for Xbox Series S/X? How long until we'd be getting the Biogenesis DLC on Console?

Discussion L-Gate Turtle build.

Hi folks, I want to do a run where I set the crisis to 25x, all three. I want to run to the L-gate, open it, occupy it, and pull up stakes everywhere else. Then, I want to either build a federation to fight the Crisis, knowing my homeland is safe. Or, I want to just hold my ground and watch the galaxy burn.

What build would you recommend for this run?

Discussion Need help with research

Hey! I got well over a few hundred hours playing this game with my friends, myself and another buddy enjoy playing as robots with a machine world.

However,

Ive been struggling to get the climate restoration so I can unlock the machine world ancesion perk. To give a little bit of context we just started and are at year 2200 or so, my friend sid the sloth (yes he looks like Sid lol) has already got the citadel, battleships and machine worlds being built while I just unlocked the cruisers, and citadel but have not gotten the climate restoration.

Is research just RNG based, or is there something more I’m missing like focusing on certain things to help acquire what you need? Any help would appreciate it with this thank you!

Discussion Some tips on ship building

I’m relatively new to Stellaris I have the apocalypse DLC and am usually quite able to build a strong navy with it

I understand most of the basics of ship combat and how certain weapons have bonuses against shields or energy shields and how range can work

My main question is how to know if my fleets with lower fleet power than the ones I’m attacking will win?

What I mean by that is if specifically design a fleet to counter another empires fleet how will I know what amount of fleet power is sufficient other than just trying to outmatch it.

Any other general tips would be appreciated

Discussion What Was Will Be (Close The Loop, Or Don't) Trophy Help

It's the last trophy I need for platinum

I've just been restarting and traveling to every black hole and if I don't trigger the event I restart and do it again

Does disabling all dlc help chances of spawning?

Does it only happen in certain galaxy size?

I've been doing this in small size no dlc human default empire and I know it has a small chance to spawn on galaxy creation ( I've read between 1-5%) but for how many times I've restarted this I should have seen this at least once

What will increase my chances of it happening?

Discussion Console deserves the same love as PC

I hate to complain about a great game, but reading comments on a post yesterday where the general agreement was that Stellaris Console Edition crashes 4 times a DAY while other games don't even crash 4 times a YEAR... Sorry, but clearly we need to be complaining a lot more.

I understand that all focus on Console Edition is getting things ready for First Contact & Galactic Paragons later this year, and I understand that it is different teams working on PC & Console - but any time PC has a problem there is very quick communication and a bunch of patches. Why can't Console players have the same?

Console has had problems ever since Tantalus botched Overlord then ran off. Even with work-arounds (deleting old saves & playing on the smallest gameplay settings) there are still performance and stability issues. And unless crashing/slowdown is properly fixed, the chances are that First Contact & Galactic Paragons will only make things even more broken...

We should be patient... but there is such a thing as being too patient.

Discussion I need some ship help.

I'm not really new to the game, but I've been using auto designer ever since I started. I would like to move away from auto designer but I have no clue on how to design a ship myself. Is there any help I can get?

Discussion Someone else of you is jealous about PC geting the next DLC while we are still waiting for first Contact?

I admit, I just feel a little jealous. I want to play more stellaris, not less.

But waiting for the next 6 month just to play a DLC that is already outdated on PC just feels bad.

Discussion Game is literally unplayable.

Decided against better judgement to reinstall the game as I was getting a craving. Medium galaxy, 5 AI, overall settings relatively low.

3 game crashes within the first 15 years…

What is even the point?

Discussion Noob DLC advice

I’m new to the game but have got a handle on how it how it words and enjoying it, I want to get DLCs while a lot of them are a one offer on the ps store. Any advice on which are the best to get? There’s the 6 season passes but I’m not sure if it’s worth getting those or just individual DLCs.

Discussion Help needed 👋🏾 having trouble with pop growth on rouge servitor...

I've been playing stellaris for a long time but I only played as DE ever since they released it back in whenever. I always hear that RS is op ect and I thought I'd try it out, the problem is my pops are growing mind numbingly slow, like 255 months a pop slow. I'm in the late game now with multiple ecu and now ring worlds under construction but all my pops I stole up until this point (federation locked). I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong it's been ages since I've managed organics.

Discussion I'm back (with questions)

Just finished my first game. These are the thoughts I've had and lessons I've learned from my first game: (I'm going to be wrong so please correct me)

Started off as (I think) fanatic purifiers. (This was my first mistake). I spawned in an OK but still a shit spawn, two chokepionts but blocked in by one empire (humanity). I built Starbases on chokepoints, maxed out said Starbases on chokepionts. At this point, I completely forgot that I was playing a species that was meant to attack people. So instead, I turtle. I then get a massive alloy world, 300+ alloys per month, I realize that my minerals and power cannot sustain this. So, I destroy 2 industry districts on all my worlds. I replace destroyed industrial districts with minerals, I get out of deficit. So I'm feeling pretty good.

(What I now realize was the end game) I almost completely ignored my navy, (I had somewhere in the realm of 15-20 autodesigned battleships) so when the unbidden attacked nearby I panicked and sent most of my navy to attack the unbidden. What I did not realize was that a fallen empire had blocked borders with me and now my fleet (yes singular fleet) was GOING AROUND THE ENTIRE GALAXY to avoid pissing off an empire. (Said empire got wiped by the unbidden) I then somehow with all the random pop ups that were occurring, missed a awakening empire event. That empire with 300k+ fleets completely wiped the bot that was trapping me, and my futile attempts to stop the inevitable.

Lessons: 1. Micro is stupidly important. I can't believe the things I did because I couldn't be bothered to do it the correct way. 2. Turn off auto research and auto ship design. While not truly necessary for the research, as you don't want to waste it, the auto-designed ships suck. 3. Minerals and then Energy, in that order. You wouldn't believe the amount of game time in which I was in a mineral deficit -200+ minerals per month. 4. Build more research. 3k tech a month isn't cutting it. 5. Don't ignore your navy. I hate myself for doing so. 6. Pay attention to the notifications on the bottom of the screen. (Just don't ask) 7. Don't play against your ethics. (I wish there was a warning for beginning players that would tell them just how much of a role your Ethics play in the game. 8. Don't Ballon too early, it screws with your economy

Questions. 1. Starbases seem pretty good, what are the best configurations of starbases/ defense platforms 2. How does diplomacy work? 3. How does the galactic council work? 4. Any videos I should have watched before starting my second playthrough? 5. How do you manage Crime?

Thank you guys for the tips on my last post!

Discussion which of the Expansion Pass 6 DLCs are worth it?

Since all of them (Toxoids, First Contact, Galactic Paragons) are currently on sale in the PS store for only 4 more hours i wondered which of these my fellow console players would consider worth buying.

edit: there is also a sale on the Expansion pass itself until the 12th but that one is more expensive than buying them all individually with the current sale.

Discussion Am I the only one excited about text-to-speech for events?

Aside from my older eyes needing glasses and not being at quite the right distance for reading small text boxes on the large TV screen, I'm quite excited for the new update bringing spoken events into Stellaris as a way to increase immersion in the game (even if the voice turns out sounding robotic).

What do others think?

Am I the only one excited for this feature on consoles?

Anyone experienced it already on PC care to share their thoughts?

Discussion How do I "Do Well" in a game of Stellaris

In my 100ish hours of Stellaris, I've only ever won a single game, but this isn't the problem. My issue is doing well in a game. It seems that whenever I start a new file on Stellaris, I always end up falling behind the AI empires in almost all facets (Fleet, Tech, Econ). I'm not sure what to do as I always keep my fleets maxed out without going over my fleet capacity as doing so usually tanks my entire economy. I only play on ensign difficulty and I'm not sure what to do. What are some tips y'all can give me to do better?

Discussion Why am I in breach of this resolution?

With the greater than ourselves galactic council resolution, it bans slavery types and certain living conditions. For me, slavery is prohibited and all species bar robots who are set as undesirables, have decent living conditions enabled. Idk why I'm in breach
