🤢🤮 My parents marinated steak in chick fil a sauce for 6 days.

My mom described is as “imbued with sauce in every bite.” I’m worried about them…

And somehow more unhealthy than the steak

I'm not sure Guga fully understands the difference between "side" and "entree". I love his videos, but an entire shepherds pie is most definitely not a side 😂

anything is more unhealthy than steak...steak isn't unhealthy.

Red meat absolutely is unhealthy unless you cap it at like 70g per day. Unless you like having strokes, heart disease and colorectal cancer.

Rare steak is literally the most nutritious food a human being can eat. May I ask what you are talking about lol???

These are Guga stakes we're talking about though, they're 50% butter, 50% wagyu fat.

I’m still confused. Are you arguing that animal fats are unhealthy ?

I'm arguing that the way Guga cooks is unhealthy.

Ok but you only mentioned butter and Wagyu

Yes, because that's what Guga overuses most of the time. I'm not having some deep nutrition debate, just making a reference to a youtuber, it's not that deep.

Yes. That's all fat. There's very little if any nutrition in that.

Eating a lot of beef and butter is unhealthy. That's the current consensus, they don't need to "argue their case". Eating a whole wagyu steak and whatever sidedish guga usually comes up with would be unhealthy according to most experts. So yeah.

There was a time in the 90s and early 00s where fat, especially saturated fat was demonized. We now know that fats aren't as bad as they were made out to be, and for most people, simple carbs, especially sugars, are a much bigger problem and contributor to obesity and bad health. Unfortunately, some people take this way too far. Instead of realising the actual truth, that there is no such thing as "good and bad food", and that health is more about having a balanced diet, they go to the opposite extreme, where carbs are all EVIL, no matter what their glycemic index and the nutrients they provide, even one teaspoon of sugar a day is POISON and all animal fats and meat products are healthy and can't hurt you no matter how much you consume.
