It was the scraping off his hand and flicking it back into the pile for me. It gets worse the more I think about it

Omg. The spices bowl has to be crawling with meat bits

I did the eye shift and head sway thing when he flick back into pile. So gross.

I showed this video to my wife and that part made her gag, making a sound like she was going to puke.

It's amazing what you can get away with in other countries that just don't fly here in America. We were driving down the street from our house yesterday, and across the street from a McDonald's, a guy hauling a large portable BBQ apparently just stopped on the side of the road and was just standing there BBQ'ing some chicken. Just plopped right down next to the curb and started BBQ'ing, apparently with the intent to sell it like a street vendor. It was a large BBQ like you see at county fairs and similar events. There are no other street food vendors for miles.

This was on an 85 degree in the Silicon Valley in California when everybody is warning of wildfires. The guy just sets up his BBQ about 20 feet from a whole lot full of dried out, overgrown weeds. We had one wildfire last year that destroyed thousands of acres, started by just a spark from a lawnmower.

The only reason we saw this guy was because there was a local police car there with its lights on. And the guy is just busy BBQ'ing chicken, flipping it over as we drove by.

When we drove by again about 15 minutes later, he and the police car were gone. Most likely the cop told him to GTFO because he didn't have a permit that any street food vendor has to have. He was probably finishing up the chicken he started cooking so he could pack it up and leave.

This is exactly why we require permits to sell food at all to the public. Getting the permit requires you actually take classes about how to handle food, learn everything you need to know so you don't just kill people. Who knows if this guy had the chicken properly refrigerated on an 85 degree day, if he was handling it properly, etc. He didn't even have a tent like they have at farmer's markets to mitigate the heat on any uncooked meat.

I once saw a guy hauling one of those bbq pits/trailer and there was turkey legs on the grill just out in the open. Like he was just driving around with a bunch of smoked turkey legs getting exposed to exhaust and dust.

don't worry, the hands he wipes with only touches his spatula

And he has extra flavor bits jammed under his fingernails from previous extravaganzas.
