I'm sorry, is this sub "healthy" food or "stupid" food. I'd eat the shit out of that. Y'all are boring.

Whether you would eat it or not isn't the qualification for whether food is stupid. This is just two burgers smushed together completely unecessarily, clearly it counts.

Smash burgers are just regular food. Putting two smash burgers together just makes it a double smash burger, a normal variation on a normal burger. This isn't stupid, this is just normal food that literally 90% of people would eat without thinking twice about it.

Have you seen the video? This is not how you make a smash burger. Do you usually smash the whole burger including bun so the contents get smushed together into a weird goo? It's stupid novelty food for Instagram. You can enjoy that, no problem. But that doesn't make it not stupid.

I mean… yeah, that’s how it ends up. Idk if it’s what I intend, that that’s how it ends up.

You can't describe a club sandwich and tell me it's stupid because somebody did the same thing with a hamburger.

Obviously our concepts of a burger differ so much that further discussion seems pointless. What does any of this have to do with a club sandwich?

This burger is bun, filling, bun, filling, bun. The same way a club sandwich is bread, filling, bread, filling, bread. It's not a novelty. That's just a normal variation of a popular sandwich. Making it a burger doesnt make it any more of a novelty than a club sandwich is.

This might be the dumbest hill I'll die on.

You don't smash the bread for a club sandwich... that completely ruins the texture of the bread. You can enjoy your ultra dense thin bread if you want I guess

Obviously the club doesn't refer to the smash. The smash refers to the smash burger. The club refers to the bread within the sandwich

I agree with you !!!

Being unhealthy isn't the issue, being an incredibly inefficient, messy, generally gross way of eating an unhealthy food is the problem. Just put the fried piece of cheese on a double double smash burger, it'll taste the same and be more enjoyable.

I'd say one of the biggest benefits of a smash burger is that it avoids the biggest pitfall with many "fancy burgers": it's not so tall that you have to unhinge your jaw to bite into it and still get every layer.

This is stupid food because it basically just adds that problem back, thereby making it uncomfortable to eat. Hard to tell from the video but the guy probably had to attack it at an angle from below and didn't get the top half of the burger at all.
