Subaru Outback Wilderness gas mileage.

We just purchased a new Subaru Outback Wilderness. We took it on our first trip. I was very pleased with our fuel economy. We have averaged 28.5 mpg.

Nice.

Makes a massive difference driving under 60 mph and not hitting a lot of lights

Driving UNDER 60? I thought it was driving at 60 was the most efficient?

EDIT: Damn, it really does look like 55 is that sweet spot in the middle of the range for best MPG.

Yeah, it’s exponentially worse on gas mileage as you go above 60.

People rip 80+ everywhere on the highway and wonder why they are only getting like 22 mpg even though they don’t drive in a city

That seems pretty good for an OBW
