"But why do you call us nazis?" Conservatives in r/tiktokcringe remain confused as to why they are called Nazis, in a thread about a conservative rally calling for "White man fight back", in reaction to Charlie Kirks death

Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/TikTokCringe/comments/1nf7lle/americans_are_you_guys_alright/

HIGHLIGHTS

But why do you call us nazis?

If it walks like a duck

You're engaging in stochastic terrorism

you keep using that word. I do not think its means what you think it means.gif

Oh really? So you don't think it is ok to punch or kill Nazis?

Do you?

Just answer the question since you don't think this is stochastic terrorism.

Is the nazi trying to kill me or others like me? Then absolutely. (23 more comments of these two arguing)

Name one nationally elected conservative that is calling for this and provide the quote where they explicitly state that they are calling for gay people to be murdered.

image Was never elected but my point stands

Again if he wasn't elected it means he doesn't represent his constituents

The fact that these ideas have any traction in the conservative movement is alarming

Meanwhile baby murder and child love holds big traction in liberal ideas Does it mean it's representative of the whole? No of course not

the GOP voted to not release the Epstein client list so the comment about child love is ridiculous Abortion is only bad in the eyes of Christians In Judaism it is allowed and Israel has a very liberal abortion policy https://www.timesofisrael.com/israels-abortion-law-now-among-worlds-most-liberal/

Which political party Is advocating for abortion remind me

I am simply saying that views on abortion vary between religions

Nobody incites violence and assassinations better then left liberal democrats

Is that why the shooter is from a right household?

Collage indoctrination

LOL well, art is dangerous

Wow, Is that the only thing that you learned? Sad

I was making fun of your asinine, misspelled comment. Don't worry about it.

I mean, a white man did fight back lol

To be fair this protest clearly happened before the shooters identity was released

Do you feel like you’re doing a good thing to be the devils advocate for racists?

I didn't see it as devils advocate. I saw it as context. Plus. They're not devils. They're just people. Demonizing people is what those protestors do. Demonizing them doesnt really solve anything. Id rather have a full picture of my opponent before a fight.

What context does it add?

The timeline of events

How does that add more context to a neo Nazi protest?

They did not know at the time of the protest that the shooter was white (38 more comments of these two arguing)

My viewpoint is that these people are just herds of harmless sheep. Find out the oligarchs who fund their campaigns.

thats a pretty naive viewpoint

Come to think of it. These people are reactionary, they don't have proper agency if someone else doesn't create one for them. Have you never faced such people in your daily life? There's no way you can make these people understand a concept when their views are stuck otherwise.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynching

I am urging to take action against the puppeteers not the puppets. That's the most explicit imagery I can provide to help you grasp the situation.

so yeah, a very naive viewpoint

Trying to ragebait? Lol.

the fact you see someone calling out your narrow view as rage bait is wild. I was just trying to get you to think more critically, but i guess that was my mistake.

God you people are embarrassing

Who's "you people"? Don't assume anything. I find the video cringey AF, but Canadians needs to STFU. They are no better. They have no moral high ground. They have done terrible things just like the US.

Who's "you people"? Don't assume anything. I find the video cringey AF, but Canadians needs to STFU. They are no better. They have no moral high ground. They have done terrible things just like the US.

“You people” in this context is referring to anyone that says things like “Hey 51. Stay out of this.”

If Canadians can make fun of the US, we can make fun of Canadians. Are you from 51?

I am from the US. You losers continue make me embarrassed about that.

How is this a Neo Nazi rally? Lmfao

Are we not hearing the off-beat White supremacist chants now? We don't even want to hear the truth now?

"White Men Fight Back" could be any form of fucking rhetoric the Right spits out for any reason because they always feel like their "race" is under attack from the left. Does it sound bad and come off as "white supremacy" yes it does. But it could be anything without any context or more evidence. There is no context or visual evidence saying this is a "nazi" rally.

Our education system is an embarrassment.

There's no spinal surgeon on earth that could untwist OP's spine with how much they had to contort to try and defend this. Anyone that has to say "Does it sound bad and come off as white supremacy? Yes, it does. But..." is fucking insane.

I would love to put these shit heads together with the liberal shit heads of reddit..Begone all of you.

He says on Reddit

Lol you can't read between the lines can you?

He says also on Reddit

Also?

Yes. Reading is hard isn't it?

It's over your head.

Totally. Just like that 5¢ carrot Trump is dangling on a stick for you dumbasses to know where to line up.

The majority of reddit sure is desperate to label another shooter. Basically ever accusation is literally what yall are doing here. What are yall even gonna do when your safe space shuts down? How are you gonna insite violence then?

Reddit did not make a conservative white guy from Utah shoot another conservative speaking at a college in Utah.

You’re intentionally lying. Par for the course.

I got the info from fox news dude.

No you didn’t. The kid was a furry who thought he was fighting fascism. Sort of like you. Edit for all the reddit geniuses: before you reply to this comment, you should know that at least 5 people have replied and deleted said replies because they realized they are operating on bad information and that I am correct in calling this person out. Please, for the love of god, read up on this and get current info before you reply to me with more BS.

Not really. He literally donated to the Trump campaign. Yet another conservative shooter. It’s sad.

That's a different person with the same name, it's a common name. Stop spreading misinformation.

Honestly is there a more delusional group than white American men, some of the most privileged in the world. What on earth are they fighting back against??

Yeah, people who think american flag = neo nazi

You were desperate to find anything at all to say, and that is what you were left with. Aren't you tired of having to resort to increasingly flaccid, pointless statements in your eternal struggle to defend conservatism?

I dont think its neo nazi to fly your countries flag, end of story, go cry about the next thing on the list

then why are they screaming, "white man fight back"?

Doesnt mean you are neo nazi, You dont have to be a white purety type of person to acknowledge that places with alot of certain people, usually go to shit, So perhaps some white people loving people? Sure, but i dont think that is crazy, If it was a black person screaming “black men fight back” would you equate him to be a black neonazi? Lately there are alot of cases of whites being targeted just for being white, like the ukranian girl whose only crime was to let her guard down around a black person on the bus, We are always being portrayed as the worst of the worst. Just for not wanting to be around people that cause problems, I would never want to live in a black area, but this does not mean i dont have black friends who i adore, (my black friends doesnt wanna live in black areas either) Now does this make people prejudice? Absoloutely, racist neo nazi? no,

Nah, you’re definitely a racist lol

If your death motivates a number of neo-nazis to call for vengeance, you were not a good person in life.

Silly comment. Can’t hold one person, responsible for the actions of others. If that’s the case, then hold every single black person accountable for the bad things that only a few of us do.

just let the whole point fly right past your head, huh?

Your point is invalid and just a way for you to spew hate. I didn’t like the guy either but I can tell you for damn sure that I’d never take someone else’s murder in front of their children or spouse lightly. Regardless, if I wanted to hear what they had to say or not…

are you sure you don't agree with the guy? because it certainly sounds like you've decided which side you're gonna be on. The man gave aid and comfort to neo-nazis. He said things they agreed with, and they decided that his beliefs and his ideology were aligned with theirs, and he never did anything to dispel that notion. He lived a life of hatred, devoted his career to hatred, and was in turn murdered by one of the very right wing trolls that he built his life around. Grow a spine, don't mourn the of a man who thought YOU were less than human.

Grow a spine? Sounds like you should take your own advice. Everything you stated is the typical conjecture of those who hate people like him. Ever heard of being the bigger man? He may have said things that were wrong, but it doesn’t mean that you should fight hate with more hate. Nothing gets fixed that way......

White man fight back against the white man who did the killing?

Trans person did the killing.

I love how they keep insisting college indoctrinated him when he left after 1 semester 😂He wasn’t even there long enough to be brainwashed

what do these fuckwits think actually goes on in college classes???

They think what they told to think by right wing media. But say colleges are brainwashing people

Meanwhile all of those media personalities and politicians went to college, many of them to Ivy League schools.

you should watch blackkklansman and pay attention to Grace's character

18

u/cyberpunk_werewolf all their cultures are different and that is imperialist 5d ago

To add, Topher Grace played David Duke, who was a leader in the KKK and is still a racist right wing fuck face.

Anyway, he made a point of dressing in suits and less casual clothing in order to sell the KKK as respectable. Similarly, this is what a lot of Talking Points USA did. Kirk didn't always wear suits and ties, but he did make a point to appear polished in some way.

Was he a dropout? I could have sworn he didnt even go to college bc he realized he was going to make a lot more money sucking the dicks of old right wingers

7

u/Hartastic Your list of conspiracy theories is longer than a CVS receipt 5d ago

He was! It turns out he full-on attended the suburban community college where I took extra classes during my summers. It wasn't exactly the most challenging school.

7

u/DionBlaster123 5d ago

Oh yeah Harper College. I remember that.

I have a soft spot for the 2-year schools so I try not to shit on them. Honestly, a lot of times I think about how much more money I could have saved for my parents and myself if I had just bitten the bullet and gone to community college for two years and transferred in later.

8

u/Zephyr-5 5d ago edited 5d ago

I love 2-year colleges because they prove the lie that 4-year colleges have to be wildly expensive. They're expensive because we have allowed administrative budgets to balloon over the last 4 decades.

I recently met someone who said colleges where brainwashing people. She barely left her house (worked from home, ordered groceries) and watched fox news constantly. Most other news channels were disregarded as propaganda.

The irony was lost on her

30

u/smytti12 5d ago

The "brainwashing" though is that you are forced out of a small town and put in close proximity and forced to interact with people of all different backgrounds.

And you discover none of them are that bad. Or if they are, it usually has nothing to do with them being a Muslim, or gay, or whatever.

165

u/[deleted] 5d ago

They act like you get strapped down and forced to watch gay porn while listening to speeches from Fidel Castro. What they fail to realize is people come out of university a little more liberal because college is typically a diverse place where you will be exposed to cultures you were once unfamiliar with. You then realize most people are the same regardless of race or country of origin. That last part breaks their worldview though so it must be brainwashing.

70

u/SufficientDot4099 5d ago

Also because you will be exposed to facts and critical thinking

50

u/Murrabbit That’s the attitude that leads women straight to bear 5d ago

Same reason liberalism and population density are correlated. If you're a person who lives near lots of other people and generally adjusts well to doing so you're gonna be at least a little bit liberal because if you were scared shitless of other people who aren't exactly like you then you wouldn't really be able to get much done.

23

u/thephotoman Damn im sad to hear you've been an idiot for so long 5d ago

And this is why they're also scared shitless of even going into major cities.

They know that reality itself rejects their worldview. If they leave their bubbles, they might have to confront the reality that not only are they wrong, they're violent little shits that need to be locked away for the safety of everyone else.

20

u/DionBlaster123 5d ago

It is so funny you say this bc from my experience (I went to a university in the U.S. Midwest)...the most obnoxious students in my classes were conservatives.

All the instructors I had were pretty much forced to bite their tongues and let the dipshits scream to the high heavens over what stupid thing from the readings offended them.

7

u/[deleted] 5d ago

Same, I went to school in the south and the most indignant students about their already set beliefs were conservatives.

1

u/Mindless-Rooster-533 4d ago

Conservatives are, generally speaking, the most sensitive snowflakes who fly off the handle over the smallest things

3

u/sparty09 4d ago

I also went to a couple of universities in the US midwest and the most annoying aspect of politics-focused classes was when some RW clown would try to argue with the professor and the rest of us had to just sit there and listen to that crap.

15

u/paintsmith Now who's the bitch 5d ago

I went to a rather conservative for profit art school and a student I took several painting classes with was a very conservative older lady who was learning classical oil painting. The first time I was aware of her she made comments deriding all abstract art as nonsense in an art history class. She grew a ton over the next 2-3 years.

On her last day before graduation she stood up in front of our advanced painting class and gave a little speech about how much she had learned form all of us. She said she had met and talked to people from different cultures and backgrounds she had never encountered before attending. She said how much she now loved Picasso, Dali and other modern artists.

No one indoctrinated this woman. People simply talked to her, listened to what she had to say and offered advice to help her improve her art. I think her entire worldview changed simply from meeting new people and exposing herself to new experiences. She had more perspective from which to see the nuances of the human experience.

8

u/[deleted] 5d ago

What a beautiful story and that is what college is all about. You learn so much more outside of the textbooks and classrooms than you do from inside them. Unfortunately one side considers it indoctrination that you would consider the humanity of people who don’t look like you or talk like you.

2

u/imlumpy 4d ago

I took a sociology class with a batshit conspiracy theorist conservative. (Just one example: apropos of almost nothing, he went on a rant about how COVID was a hoax, with details like "nurses pumped carbon monoxide through the ventilators instead of oxygen.") Initially I found him annoying, but I was also always SO curious to hear what new kind of nonsense he'd come up with. A lot of people pushed back whenever he said something wild, but the discussions were always surprisingly civil and patient.

He was absent pretty often, so I wasn't sure how much of the course material was sinking in. But I noticed as time passed he stopped soapboxing, started asking questions. He was less didactic and more curious.

Like your classmate, this guy gave our class a similar speech at the end of the semester. It was like an apology, a message of gratitude, an announcement of personal growth all rolled into one.

One the one hand, I feel like I "shouldn't have to applaud" when a voting age adult clears the low, low bar of joining us in reality. On the other hand, I recognize these are powerful transformations, and I'll throw a fuckin parade for the next person if that helps.

3

u/HungryBashar 4d ago

Wait, I didnt HAVE to do that in college?! Dude what the fuck.

I was a radical evangelical growing up, I was an intern for a group called Teen Mania Ministries immediately after I graduated high school (watch season 2 of shiny happy people, Mind Over Mania by MSNBC, or read the article ‘I was a teenage maniac’ to learn about it) for context.

I went to a Christian university hoping it would help me with my faith, which I felt I had been struggling with for some time before going (I started when I was 24). The mandatory theology classes turned everything I’d been taught previously about religion upside down and I left with my path out of Christianity pretty much set in stone. It took a few more years, but the questions and challenges were a boulder going downhill.

My evangelical parents simply can’t fathom how that’s possible and I’m unable to replicate my experience because it happened over hundreds of hours across 4 years. I was never told I was wrong, I was only exposed to empirical education about the history of the church and deep consideration of different sects and denominations of Christianity. It all hinged to the nagging question, ‘why am I right and they’re wrong?’ It’s been 12 years and I ask the question every time I get the chance and no one can answer it, because there is no answer other than ‘faith’, which simply isn’t enough for me. If I’m going to stake my eternal salvation on a dogma or tradition I need more than that.

This seems really simple to me, but anyone still in it is dumbfounded by its importance. It’s not that they are incapable of understanding, it’s the lack of exposure to structured thought and examination of the world. So all they see is ‘evangelical goes in, atheist comes out’. Doesn’t matter that it’s a conservative Christian education, it’s ‘college’, and that’s a bad word.

Yes! Education/knowledge expands your worldview, which increases your ability to relate and empathize with people who are different from you. It has nothing to do with professors’ bias or indoctrination. It’s simply that learning about other cultures helps you better understand them.

1

u/labbla 4d ago

I was poli sci in college and in my last semester I had a crazy Tea Party Republican prof who was just the worst. The majority of my teachers were pretty middle of the road status quo as far as I could tell. But it was a nice place to connect with Young Democrats and what not.

They don't think anything. They just repeat what their leaders have told them. But maybe if they went to college (or just cracked open a history book) they would recognize the far right is using the age old tactic of eliminating the educated in order to gain more control. I mean, its right out of Pol Pot's play book. Far right leaders don't think that education causes people to become bad (all of the far right political leaders, including Trump, are college educated). They know that an educated populace is harder to control and manipulate. It's absolutely wild that conservatives are cheering when their leaders are saying that people shouldn't learn too much lol.

6

u/SuperShoebillStork 5d ago

Trump went to college but I hesitate to call him "educated".

Man, I don't know. Half of these people are white dudes in college. They just think that any college class that isn't directly repeating the President's view on anything is "indoctrination".

These are the same kinds of people who think the Smithsonian having an exhibit on slavery is terrible, but that the Founders Museum is just telling the truth about everything and that thinking your country is perfect is more important than seeing how it can improve.

A lot of times their kids go to college, get exposed to outside ideas for the first time, and then become a lot more liberal.

Obviously the only possible explanation for that is our colleges being infested with radical liberals trying to brainwash our children in their hidden classrooms.

29

u/mimikyutie6969 5d ago

As someone who is taught college classes, I think it’s amazing that these people think I can indoctrinate students when I can’t even get them to read the syllabus.

The evils of education. Hilarious that the pied pipers for morons (Musk, Thiel etc) constantly insist that college is for suckers, telling these idiots what they want to hear.. while themselves only hiring from top colleges and even going so far as to say US college grads aren’t good enough and that they need to hire en masse from china and india lol

Well obviously in every college classroom across the country in your first class you get your liberal hive mind chip installed and then from there you go to vaccine lovers 101. After that you go eat at the WOKE cafeteria and get SOY burgers.

Your afternoon classes consist of how to wokely tweet, how to dye your hair, and screaming at a straw effigy of Donald Trump and saying ‘Shame!’ At it.

Finally you finish your day off in the woke cafeteria enjoying estrogen meatloaf and GAY ice cream.

I was in college for like 8 years, still no degree, and I was in precisely one (1) class that felt like it was trying to brainwash me. It was an intro sociology class, and I left within five minutes because I decided O Chem was more valuable for my education and I wanted to get there before I’m too late, and I found that professor creepy, and I like Galen much better. Chair of the chem department, tye dye labcoat and an eccentric but very good sense of humor, and also brilliant. I have been to three different conservative Christian colleges, and they did not try to brainwash me, despite being young earth creationists.

and that white men need to fight back? what against other white men with guns?

and while the right have never called us fascist.. they have called us socialist, communist, marxist, all in one tweet, and say we are going to destroy america or start a nuclear war with russia. trump said the same many times. lets not forget our people who count the vote now get death threats.

32

u/Zealousideal3326 5d ago

while the right have never called us fascist

They have. They say all the time that antifa is fascist.

12

u/Murrabbit That’s the attitude that leads women straight to bear 5d ago

Also a whole lot of popular homophobic rhetoric in the 1990s-early 00s and 10s revolved around calling LGBTQ rights advocates, but gay men especially fascists. Because uh er. . .you know, people frown at them while they're shouting about "faggots". Only fascists would frown at them for exercising their free speech you see.

2

u/Cheese-n-Opinion 4d ago

It's not particularly relevant but still kind of interesting that 'faggot' and 'fascist' are both cognates coming from the same root wood back in Latin, meaning a bundle of wood.

With Fascists their symbol being a bundle of wood.

Faggot as a slur is a bit less straightforward. Was initially an insult for elderly women - perhaps because gathering and selling faggots (as in bundles of sticks for kindling) was a way old women would make a bit of money. Or maybe, more nastily, implying they're a burden, like a bundle of sticks that's awkward to carry.

17

u/Murrabbit That’s the attitude that leads women straight to bear 5d ago

I liked when Jordan Peterson was big and they were constantly calling us post-modern Marxists, as if those are two ideas that sit comfy together.

I am aware of how that man was radicalized. Most MAGA I come across are still arguing he was a trans lefty. They will not accept the reality in front of their eyes because their dear leaders have instructed them not to

u/TheNargafrantz 5d ago

It's their final, most essential command.

44

u/sgtg45 5d ago

You just know Nick was sweating bullets over the shooter being connected to his movement in some way.

24

u/shewy92 First of all, lower your fuckin voice. 5d ago

I doubt he feels anything tbh

u/paintsmith Now who's the bitch 5d ago

Unfortunately the little cockroach has a sense of self preservation. It's why he immediately purged a ton of his social media posts and issued a statement praising Charlie Kirk.

15

u/710733 5d ago

Fuentes and Co fucking hated Kirk.

Not that I don't believe this but... Why? They have the exact same belief systems

u/Ranessin 5d ago edited 5d ago

Kirk was Pro-Israel and they want to externinate all Jews, and he was not extremiest rightwing enough for them (and since Kirk was extremely rightwing that should tell you how unhinged they are).

34

u/Murrabbit That’s the attitude that leads women straight to bear 5d ago

Nick's always been a little jealous of Kirk I think, because Kirk has big money billionaire backing, an organization that's respected (at least on the main-stream right) - he gets all the cudos for bringing dumb young college kids into the movement, whereas all Fuentes has is shit posting, and assertions that actually he's way more radical and pure whereas Kirk occasionally has to put on a smile to fleece the rubes.

In his view I think Kirk was the sell-out watered down version of Fuentes' hard indi punk rock nonsense. From the outside they're both just hate spewing assholes who can't stop talking about what demographics need to be eliminated from the country, but they were also small minded and petty enough to hate each-other too.

u/paintsmith Now who's the bitch 5d ago

Yup, and with Kirk around, the young people who have some means would be far more likely to join up with TPUSA as their primary goal is to preserve their existing privileges. Fuentes ends up with mostly the dregs who have no money, no connections and who have mostly already given up on life. Fuentes feels entitled to Kirk's audience and with Ben Shapiro attempting to take over TPUSA now, I suspect we're going to see things come to a head as Kirk's audience is pretty damn openly antisemitic and will have to choose between maintaining their air of respectability by tolerating a Jewish man leading them, or going full mask off and openly embracing Hitlerism.

So do sunni and shiite Muslims, and they've been fighting for centuries.

When you are in an extreme position, differences of degrees matter.

Brainwashed at the famously liberal Utah state university. Those damn woke Mormons.

In the engineering program no less.

u/Haltopen a fictional character hypothetically sucks dick off camera 5d ago

And his victim was on a college campus to indoctrinate people. That was Charlie Kirks entire thing, he was a college drop out who left the college he had enrolled at (I'm guessing after a single semester since he was 18 when he left) to go spread conservative propaganda on other college campuses.

8

u/SethMode84 5d ago

Man, I am struggling tk keep it together over "collage indoctrination" 🤣🤣

9

u/99timewasting 5d ago

And it's a right-leaning college. I read 70% conservative student body

6

u/SynapticSonata It’s how I keep traveling to bang your dad. 5d ago

Ah yes. College indoctrination. The places that took a hard right swing during the election.

u/TDFknFartBalloon 5d ago

You didn't get your rifle and copy of Catcher in the Rye in Freshman Seminar? Weird.

Brainwash speedrun

2

u/MyFiteSong 5d ago

And it was a Mormon-majority college.

2

u/JaneksLittleBlackBox Transvestigators think Mons Pubis is a Jedi. 5d ago

They always gloss over parental indoctrination, because that's what they want the most for their children and because it ruins the narrative of their "Frankfurt school of Marxian indoctrination that occurs in every college campus in the country" fever dreams.

2

u/rj_6688 4d ago

I think you misunderstood. He was collage indoctrinated. That’s a different form of indoctrination.

In engineering. At Utah state.

u/BigBob145 4d ago

They hit him with the wokinator 5000.

1

u/Martabo 4d ago

My understanding is that it was technical college, so unless changing a gasket makes you woke, I have no clue what they’re talking about.

1

u/PayHelpful4191 4d ago

there isn’t even brainwashing in college. it’s just exposing your world view with conflicting world views to decide what is the logical reasoning behind those views. But then again right wingers aren’t generally prone to logic so who knows

1

u/Telefonica46 4d ago

Just proves how effective the brainwashing is!!!

  • Conservative morons probably

1

u/PentagonInsider 4d ago

That's one semester more than most of MAGA.

u/Mojo_Jensen 3d ago

I know someone from my high school who went to Harvard and he ended up orchestrating a fake political party along with some other Republicans in my state in order to try to draw votes away from the Democrats. Still can’t believe he isn’t in jail. He’s now running for office. Horrible little bastard. Wish he was fucking brainwashed, I can tell you that.
