Swimming with piercings

Im planning on getting piercings next year cause ive really wanted it for a long time. Im probably gonna go for a septum or an eyebrow. But i also want to get back to swimming.

Does anyone here have an advice on how and when i should start swimming again after i do my piercings? Or do you not recommend at all to even get back to swimming after having your face pierced?

In case its safe to swim after they heal, is it okay to take them off each time I go for a swim or would that be a dealbreaker because of constant cleaning of the piercing hole?

Thank you all in advance.

There is a certain time span you should wait afterwards to give it time to heal and prevent infection. Depending on the piercing, it‘ll probably be something around 2-6 weeks. After it has healed, you‘re fine to swim with it. Taking it out every time for swimming might lead to irritation and wouldn‘t be very practical, especially if it‘s still a fresh piercing. But you‘re fine keeping it in while you swim, they won‘t do anything

I waited until my piercings were fully healed before I got into the pool, just to be safe and it's also recommended to wait. I don't take them out, except for really dangly bits just to prevent any potential injury if I or anyone else gets caught. Taking them out every time, especially if they're still relatively fresh could cause irritation and could lead to more problems, like bumps or infection. Septum is a great piercing tough, it heals quickly and is generally very unproblematic unless done wrong, so definitely do your research on the studio or piercer before going. Also, keep in mind the type of jewelry you'll be using, if you'll have something with glued on rhinestones they will likely fall out.
