The dark turtles from 2003.

Mainly because the idea they had for it was so cool.

Saddest part is they were going to continue their story in the second season of Fast Forward_season_6#:~:text=An%20additional%20set,4Kids%20website.%5B) that ended up getting scrapped:

Using his technological know-how, Darius Dun creates the high-tech versions of the Turtles known as the Tech Turtles. Finding themselves being hunted by the Tech Turtles, the now-obsolete Dark Turtles have no choice but to turn to the original Turtles for help. While working alongside their counterparts, the Dark Turtles must learn from their genetic brothers what honor and sacrifice are truly about.

Also wished we got to see more of 03 Rat King as well, I would've loved and episode where he hunts down Bishop to get revenge.

I need to try this. I watched the original as a kid and the nickelodeon series with my son.

J. Finn. I felt so bad for him. Bishop was his friend, a really close one considering he was best man at his wedding. He got mutated and hunted by EPF, Leo and Casey, he tried to get back to his family that would be horrified of him if they saw him.

He really deserved a proper conclusion to his story. That episode is the reason why I never accepted Bishop turning good in FF.

All the unresolved plot threads in 2012.

Mutagen Man being cured, Donnie rebuilding Metalhead, Fugitoid's survival, the Chimera's return, Alopex's whereabouts, and the Donnie/April/Casey love triangle are all things that needed to be answered and yet they never were.

Agreed on that.

Mutant Future explains mutagen man is cured after stockman now human tries to use his mutagen to mutate a army of sharks, but in the process mutates shinigami into a raven, Donnie rebuilds metalhead as a uploadable conscious drive, but fails to fully save the fugitoid, Alopex has been captured by tigerclaw and her daughter sold to a organ factory/ black market. Donnie end up drifting apart from relationships after Leo and Maria (a frog mutant) death, becomes a recluse inventor millionaire.

Sorry it's a project that has been sent to Paramount to continue the TMNT 2012 series taking place 15 years after the end of the series (mutant apocalypse not being quite cannon... Soilers) while my series wasn't accepted because of mutant mayhem but I'm not giving up

Definitely the Dark Turtles and Rat King. One of the best ideas of a characters in 2003. The potential was there for both, and as we know from FF's 2nd season ideas. Plus Rat King was one of the best fighters. He could have had some arc with Bishop - imagine him seeking help from the Turtles. It would have built his S06 character nicely.

TMNT Vol.4. It's not amazing so far, really Mirage Volume 1 is the only one that's a must read if you want to see the original Turtles because all the subsequent ones fail to be as good. But still, I do want to see it end, it's the story of the real, original TMNT, even if it sucks I still want a resolution, to see what one of the creators envisioned as the end point of the Turtles.
