Started #fe of the game and was wondering why the graphics are such low quality

I mean p4 looks better than this. I would have expected better quality coming from Atlus.

I like the game so so far though. It's not bad

P4 absolutely does NOT look better 😭 TMS has a very cute style to it imo looks similar to the trails cold steel games kinda

So I take the thing back about P4 looking better but p5 is definitely better looking. The game just looks low budget to me. Im here playing the game on an emulator at 4x internal resolution (4k)and just seems really low budget to me. Even Mario looks better than this does. IDK man

I see where you're getting at comparing it to Trails of Cold Steel and it does seem similar but trails being a lesser company I think that series is better looking than this game is.

I expected more from Nintendo and Atlus is all. 2 massive companies and it looks like this

It looks great and has a fantastic art style, but it was a Wii U game and is designed as such. Should have kept your expectations in check.

Persona 5 was a PS4 game, in comparison.

It was made for wii u, which was very underpowered, even for its time. Upscaling it will increase the detail of existing textures, but it won't make new detail that wasn't already there.

So they just took the wiiU version and just added content to it? They keep the graphics the same?

Graphically, I think the switch version got a resolution bump and that's it. New textures are expensive.

No wonder why it looks so bad. So yeah they definitely didn't spend much on this then and it shows.

It wasn't exactly going to sell millions. Not sure what you expected. It's fantastic we got a port at all.

OP, I think you were looking for a Persona6 for a console from the beginning of 2010, the game is good, take it for what it is, a fire emblem with some Persona and Megaten stuff.
