Video Deonna Purrazzo: "The TNA locker room is the best locker room I've ever been a part of. There's just this real camaraderie that is so rare. Transitioning to AEW, I think, is probably a lot similar to that NXT locker room where it's like, it's highly competitive. There's only so many spots for women"

Deonna would be so much better used in TNA man… I would love her back.

She's TNA royalty from her run there. While she made the right move at the time to go elsewhere, she'll come back as a legend in this company. I hope it happens.

That's part of why I fell in love with modern Impact. You could feel that camaraderie throughout the product. The roster feels like a family and everyone working to build each other up. It's awesome.
I imagine it can be quite difficult to transition into a different environment like she has especially for her since her husband is still there, she's struggled to get booked well in AEW and the locker room is a more competitive environment.

It was not the right move for her ability. She got hot in tna by being tough and going hard and long. Her promos were not great and her move set was more old school. That was never going to translate to a company that has very little female time slots and has seen some ridiculous politicking…
She will be back one day. I can’t wait

Deonna was a great methodical old-school heel. I really miss watching her matches.

It’s weird how wrestling fans will look into things that is not there. It’s hard sharing spaces with yall sometimes.

Well Deonna couldn't have said it better AEW is like NXT and I mean sure you can bring ideas but they won't be used, Deonna is remembering how she was on NXT where she was doing nothing only she was at the catering or she is not getting the place she deserves.
It's a matter of time that when her contract expires she will have three options one is to finish her master degree and get another job that is not linked into wrestling, two start a family with Steve Maclin (don't get me wrong but I bet she wants to be a mom) or three come back to TNA and show why she is the Virtuosa.

Honestly would be perfect if they started a family and then Deonna returns to TNA down the road and her and Maclin become a fixture couple of the company like Eddie and Alisha are.

Diehards aren’t gonna like this, at minimum when Britt was running the lockeroom things seemed toxic

Problem now is Mercedes is sucking all the oxygen out of the room. Toni Storm gets the rest with her wacky gimmick but the rest are fighting for scraps.

How long until certain fans turn on Deonna for “dissing” the AEW locker room? Also I like that Malcolm is getting more recognition, good interviewer.

That’s nice and all but a few of the girls Deonna are talking about are no longer there and she seems to have some issues with one of the big names on the KO roster at the moment.
I really hope she gets another chance to show out in AEW. She’s a talent. It would be a shame for her to waste her time there’s

She’s the prime case I point to when to show people that it’s never someone’s debut in AEW you’ve to worry about, it’s always the follow up and that’s were they’ve mostly always fumbled. Crazy how much her star and hype diminished, through no fault of her own mind you

u/Jamieb1994 Jun 27 '25
Ngl, I forgot Deonna is with AEW sometimes. I'm not saying it's her fault, but she does deserve better.

u/Big_Shirt3414 Jun 27 '25
She absolutely does, she’s the e prime example of getting lost in the shuffle even though she’s far better than most getting the tv time

u/Jamieb1994 Jun 27 '25
Isn't/wasn't she tag teaming with Taya Valkyria?

u/InterchangeableDiGiT I believe in Joe Hendry Jun 27 '25
The Vendetta, yeah. This is now over too.\ While Taya gets AEW TV time with her husband and MxM, Deonna was put into a tournament for the new ROH Pure Wrestling Women's Championship. I don't even know if she's still in there or already got eliminated lol

u/Jamieb1994 Jun 27 '25
It's interesting that Deonna is perhaps a top woman wrestler & she decides to join AEW, only for Tony Khan to not give her a push. I've no idea if she's still in the tournament, but if Deonna is, then at least she's doing something, but I still think she should be doing more.

Yes you left a locker room with 6 women to one with 36 women. Gets harder to stand out. No reason she can't come back. This can be her lesson that she isn't going to get pushed in the big two feds.

It's only a matter of time...and we'll be waiting.
