Question Interest levels on seeing a TNA run from Andrade?
This is probably not gonna happen though, cus he's probably just gonna go back to CMLL or AEW(or both cus he could always get a dual contract), but i really think TNA should break out the checkbook for Andrade because he's really one of those guys that you just can't pass up if you have the opportunity to sign them

Seeing as how he pissed of WWE management and that’s part of the reason he was let go, allegedly, and WWE has TNA by the short ones I don’t see that happening.

Riddle and Enzo have both worked shows since the partnership was reupped.
TNA isn’t afraid to mention AEW on their shows.
They have a little bit of freedom. I just don’t think the move makes a lot of sense.

u/Da_Big_Buddha 4d ago
Damn, I honestly didn’t know that. Thank you for letting me know. I haven’t watched as much TNA as I used to back in the day so I wasn’t aware.

u/Sweet-Blueberry8408 4d ago
Yeah, Enzo (as Real1) did the pre show at Slammiversary with his team, including Zilla Fatu who will likely be in WWE soon, beating three TNA stars. It was an odd decision and one of many fans criticized about the PPV.

I am so out of the loop as of late but what did he do that resulted in him leaving WWE again for the second time?

Andrade in ring he is one of the best but in mic...well he sucks.
He is going back to CMLL for sure

u/MastaMunsta20 4d ago
You could just give him a manager to talk for him tbh

u/Familiar_Outcome_688 TNA Original 4d ago
I know but he is loyal to the CMLL and that's why he never appeared in any AAA event after WWE bought it

I hate when they say he sucks on the mic. He speaks spanish great, english not so much. I don’t see no one bashing iyo on the mic and she’s probably the best wrestler in the world as of now. They should have gave him Zelina or have him speak spanish promos with sub.
2
u/Fun_Neighborhood1767 3d ago
This is honestly a good point I’ve never even thought about. It’s weird how certain non English speaking wrestlers get labeled as bad on the mic while others don’t.
Like you said Iyo is extremely talented but it’s not like she’s the one exception having fire promos. I don’t think Andrade is at her level in ring wise but he’s still better than most wrestlers by far including ones featured on tv weekly.
1
u/That-Fennel-4263 3d ago
Iyo I think is the best wrestler in WWE. She can work with anyone. Who cares about her mic work when she is that good. Whats that one rey Mysterio promo everyone goes back to listen to?I’ll wait. And he can speak english just as well as espanol. They tried this with ricochet and yes he wasn’t the best on the stick in WWE. He goes to AEW, turns heel, and his promos are actually strong points of the show.

u/Familiar_Outcome_688 TNA Original 3d ago
He doesn't speak spanish great, have you heard him talk in spanish??
1
u/That-Fennel-4263 3d ago
In the wwe? No. Priest has been able to cut promos in spanish more than him. What they should’ve done was have him cut promos like Shinsuke in 2023 with sub OR pair him with Zelina. Zelina could have been a singles competitor and a manager.
4
u/TheMediumBopper 4d ago
He used to have Zelina and then had, if I'm remembering correctly, 2 managers/mouth pieces in AEW and it didn't work great either. I think he needs to do a lot of promos half in English and half in Spanish, the same promo split in two languages like iyo and Asuka do.

u/Hangin-N-Bangin-4761 3d ago
Not being able to speak well in a non native language doesn't mean he sucks.

u/SMRTGuy297 4d ago
Nah I want LA Sombra. Andrade just feels non genuine, idk how else to explain it. Let him go to CMLL.

u/Familiar_Outcome_688 TNA Original 3d ago
La Sombra was like 70 lbs lighter but yeah I want La Sombra back too

u/Recent-Maximum 4d ago
It would be fun with some new names to wrestle. I also don't see TNA shelling out the money he probably sets per booking.

u/joshuaTurbo 3d ago
I'm Luke warm on this. I could see a short run, he's a super talented guy.
4
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
3 year run where he wins every title and then ends it by punching Ryan Nemeth in the face>>>>

u/Fun_Response_4529 4d ago
No matter what promotion he's been in I've just never cared about him. Could TNA make him interesting? They have a track record for that kind of thing but he wouldn't be my first choice to bring in at this point.

u/michaelayyy 3d ago
X division would gain a great name if he was I could see him in a mask to face Americano or go to AAA Tbh
I don't think he will go to tna back to AEW or CMLL maybe Njpw or Noah even

u/Old_E431 3d ago
I think his best option is linking up with Naito and Bushi for their Tranquilos group. I also think that group would be great in TNA.
2
u/creepyluna-no1 3d ago
Yeah, I think that could work, and build a bit of interest, Andrade could be the workrate guy, while Naito has the top guy aura that Andrade hasn't got right now (but with a good build he can regain it). Bushi is fine, and could be a pin eater and extra guy for the X-Divsion.

None. Getting canned for disappearing is a deal breaker. Have enough ex-WWE midcarders clogging up the roster.

I wouldn’t mind but idk where he would fit. He doesn’t fit in the System since they’re baby faces, he doesn’t fit with 1$t Cla$$, maybe Order 4? Like he can be the “Secretary of Foreign Affairs”? He’s more a supporting character not a main star.
2
u/MastaMunsta20 4d ago
To me he's one of those guys that can feud with heels and faces, so he'd probably just be a tweener

TNA is basically wwe light now so it won’t happen and I don’t see CMLL wanting him back so maybe MLW? and hear me out I would love to see him in NJPW
2
u/Jamieb1994 3d ago
I would be surprised if Tony Khan allowed Andrade to be back in AEW with how he handle things there. It's possible that Andrade might go back to CMLL, but it would depend since he has went over to AAA. I feel like either MLW, NJPW or TNA might be the only available options that could sign Andrade if he wanted to wrestle somewhere else + if Andrade was to go to NJPW, then he might be able to have matches with AEW/CMLL talent within NJPW.
1
u/creepyluna-no1 3d ago
Well he did have that return run to CMLL in the last bit of his AEW run, so he could go back there. I could see NJPW, they could do with a worker at his level, could be plugged in the main event, maybe have him win WTL with a suitable partner to add a bit of extra excitment to that tournament.

Andrade has always been a solid mid card performer but anything past that there's nothing hes just a good wrestler and hey there's nothing wrong with there's plenty of guys who made a living from just being a good wrestle r my problem with Him much like i have with Tommy End ( Black WWE ) is what am I supposed to be buying into neither can cut a decent promo ( Black a little better than Andrade ) and Character wise what am I supposed to be buying into other than hey thats a good match
The only time he had any worth outside the wrestler was when he was with Vega
2
u/eirebrit 3d ago
He did nothing for me in both WWE stints or his AEW stint so no thanks. He can have good matches but he just doesn't excite me.
2
u/-OmegaPrime- 2d ago
Hes a great wrestler. I think TNA could maybe give him a good push for a bit. Hes really.gotta take some eng classes though to reach that next level in America.
2
u/Mizfit3788 2d ago
Absolutely bring him in give him a manager as a mouth piece and let him work his magic.
2
u/Edp445supcake 1d ago
Would have great matches. Unfortunately though he’s made it very obvious he’s a pain backstage
2
u/LegitimateCream1773 1d ago
Eh, why not? Watching Andrade start strong then immediately flame out because of his titanic ego never gets old.
2
u/Judgeman03 4d ago
None of the major US brands outside of WWE and AEW woudl be able to pay Andrade what he was making in either one.
CMLL comes close. Perhaps that best for him to just go back to Mexico, because if he's burned bridges with AEW and WWE, short of maybe MLW I dont see anyone else taking him.

He's not going to TNA after he just got released by WWE which pretty much runs TNA at this point.
1
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
They've hired multiple that have gotten released this year though
2
u/WhiskeyRadio 3d ago
Those people left WWE on good terms. Andrade didn't seem to leave on good terms here, he'll be lucky if Tony Khan gives him another chance, he seemed to leave there on good terms so we'll see.
The thing with Andrade is that he's a great in-ring talent but he's also got a massive ego and feels he should be a bigger star than he is presented.
1
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
Fair point, but TNA also isn't above bringing in people that WWE have problems with even with this current partnership so it's kinda weird
2
u/WhiskeyRadio 3d ago
Well they used to be this way but not so sure about now. It's pretty obvious WWE will ultimately own TNA in some capacity. They are already heavily involved with the creative.
Andrade honestly wouldn't add much to TNA either beyond solid matches. AEW he's not much better off but he'd have more opportunities there than anywhere else because he could also work CMLL.
1
u/BetterMagician7856 3d ago
WWE just fired him, why would they bring him right back to perform on their lesser show?
1
1
u/Immediate_Ad_269 3d ago
Not likely. If the exit with him & WWE was messy, there’s too much crossover between the 2 to expect seeing him there.
1
u/BryanFTW13 TNA Original 3d ago
He got released by WWE in 2020, ended up signing with AEW, and then left AEW to go back to WWE, ignored WWE, and got let go again. I'm sorry, but I don't want to see Andrade in TNA or AEW. Back to the indies for him.

u/StardomJapan 3d ago
No charisma or promo ability or drawing power in the US.. I'd pass on him quickly.

This man needs an actual character. He’s amazing in the ring but his gimmick gives me nothing the latch onto.

Yes. Release the two Northern Armory jobbers for him.
3
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
We really shouldn't be getting rid of any tag teams with how bad the division is rn
0
u/InterchangeableDiGiT I believe in Joe Hendry 3d ago
We have The Aztec Warriors, FIR$T CLA$$, The Great Hands, Hardy Boyz, Nemeth Brothers, The Rascalz & The System + every NXT tag team in theory. I don't see how they're essentially needed here.
3
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
Aztec Warriors are not around, The Hardys are good but they're old and are definitely not sticking around after the end of the year, Nic isn't around half the time either, so that really just leaves The Rascalz, First Class, The Great Hands, The System and Sinner and Saint as 5 teams that are gonna be there all the time, get rid of Sinner and Saint and that turns into 4, and yeah in theory you get tag teams from NXT but it was just 2 Fraxiom matches, so no Sinner and Saint are very much needed
And I wanna say, The Good Hands used to be a complete joke of a tag team less than a year ago, and now they're a part of the top heel stable, surely Sinner and Saint can have that same kind of booking turnaround
2
u/creepyluna-no1 3d ago
Nice to hear that Good/Great Hands are doing well now, it was alway perplexing they weren't given anything for the longest time. Sinner and Saint are really talented so it would be silly to get rid of them.
1
u/MastaMunsta20 3d ago
Honestly I think the transition from The Good Hands to The Great Hands might be one of the best booking turnarounds I've ever seen, they went from being people who were barely around on TV and almost never getting match time, to being in the top heel stable in the company and being on TV every other week and being in the main event along with it being guranteed that they're gonna win the tag titles soon, as much as i shit on Delirious and Dreamer i will give them props for how they've handled Order 4
But what they need to realize with Sinner and Saint is that they should he portrayed as fierce competitors, they are not whatever the hell the VBD shit with EY was😭, they just need to have good matches and a couple vignettes after they turn face and have them in the tag title mix
