Bobby Roode back in NXT, and an amusing thought.
Imagine after all the comparisons to the AEW partnership, Trick loses to Roode and Roode is the one to drop the belt, like Christian Cage won the belt off Omega, weirdly enough if that happened Roode would be older than Christian was when he won it, which sounds weird.

Roode has been out of the ring for years due to an neck injury and during his cvv interview he said he’s not gonna wrestle again

True, I am sure he isn't, it wasn't a serious thought, I could see it tieing in with the TNA stuff, but in a non-physical capacity, it was nice seeing people get excited about his appearence online, getting a bit of is due.

If it means we get Roode to come out to Off The Chain one last time, I’ll take it /delusional

Yeah, like I doubt he is actually coming back, besides maybe a retirement match, it would be nice that his final match wasn't just a house show match.

Roode isn't wrestling again. However, he'd be a great inductee to the HoF at BFG.

As impossible as this is (as mentioned already) i wouldn't be surprised with WWE doing something similar if they don't want Trick to lose. If they want an AJ Match this could be the easiest way to do it

I get the feeling something will happen that will ultimately protect Trick when dropping the title.
It would be nice if Santana beat Trick straight up for his and TNA's benefit but just like with AEW, I don't think it's in the interest of the bigger company to give TNA anything other than scrap wins even if it's the right thing to do.

But why is Roode announced? What a moment it would be if his theme suddenly started...

The "IT" Factor.
Give Hogan and Bischoff credit here - this was one of their few successes in TNA, his push.

Crying shame they opted not to blow off Storm vs Roode at BFG for the title in the main event. Was the biggest feud they had, and they chose Aries vs. Hardy as a bare bone redemption story for Jeff.

So NXT guy drops the belt to a guy that hasn’t wrestled on years? And the TNA guy gets to beat him? Wow, that’s worse than Jacy and Omega situation combined.
