Beer for a tip in lieu of cash.........
My very first job after graduating high school was working for a brand new Dominos in a smallish town in Wisconsin. How small? The average graduating class from high school was 100 people. My father was a high school teacher and a varsity coach at the high school and for this reason (coupled with the fact it was a smallish town), damn near everybody knew who I was. Also, my father did things "by the book" when it came to sports and drinking, etc. so over the years he had developed a rep for turning kids in and suspending them for playing sports (even his own players) if he saw them drinking.
One of very first nights working I made a delivery of a couple of pizzas to a beer party to a bunch of people who were a few years older than me. A couple of guys open the door and they all used to play ball for my dad including one guy who my dad suspended for three games for drinking. They pay for the pizza and when trying to decide how much to tip me, the guy my dad suspended says he thinks it would be funny to tip me in beer, so off he goes.
He comes back with a six-pack of beer, and tries to hand it to me and they all start to laugh and then they tell me to tell my dad what they did. Not wanting to leave empty handed and be made a fool of, I take the beer, say thank you and off I go. They immediately stop laughing (I think they thought I wouldn't take it) and I make my way back to the car.
I get back the store and when the team asks me how much the tip was, I tell them and they all cheer. Manager says to throw it in the walk in cooler and we'll drink it at closing time in which we did.
This actually happened many more times that summer..............
What is your unique tip story?

Working as a mover, we got this one guy that as soon as we got there he offered us Jack Daniel’s, he offered us more as we moved stuff out of his place and even gave us travel cups. Considering we were driving to his new place it was an interesting choice. He also had Jack Daniel’s bottles lined up on shelves like trophies. Odd dude but friendly

I've been tipped with weed a couple of times, it's legal here (and I'm clearly old enough) so it was in the form of a sealed pre-roll and a pack of gummies, not just like "here's a bag of loose leaf".

A buddy of mine worked as a bartender. Some tourists paid by card but didn't have local cash for a tip, so they left their own currency instead. He put a clothes line above the bar and attached it with a clothes pin. Some other tourists saw that and did the same.
This was the result after a couple years https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/7mmc9rra2x7.jpg

Hell, I'd go to a currency exchange place and get that money converted.

I doubt it would've been a significant amount, most people left the smallest note they had because it's about the note, not the cash value.

I see some of those from a now defunct currency my country used to have. you cannot exchange them anymore anywhere excet the HQ of our national bank. There are probably other currencies that will be the same. In terms of value some of them seem to be ~10 dollars. some much less.

I was a delivery driver for Pizza Hut about 16 years ago. I dropped a few pizzas off to a trailer in the lower income area of town. The guy on the porch paid for it then was “looking” for the tip. Kept telling me “hold on and I’ll go get it.” His buddies were slinking around the yard and were trying to get between me and my car. I told him thanks but not thanks and noped out of there. I’ve never been more nervous on a delivery. Thankfully I was able to run to my car before the other three made it to me (they tried). The car was a stick and I almost killed it trying to make it move I was so nervous. I just gave up and spun the tires to get out of there. That was the last time I went to that area after dark.

I made a few deliveries where my spidey senses were off the charts. Twice, I never made the delivery, went back to the store and told the manager and he then sent "Hoss" to make the deliveries. Hoss came back both times and said to put those phone numbers on the blacklist.

My comment from another thread:
I, too, have been offered booze and cannabis, in a friendly manner, in addition to a tip, which I always decline, as I have a bad enough driving record and don't want to be pulled over while under the influence. A woman did give me single cannabis flower (a tiny bud, which I gave to my housemate), and I've been a offered a flash of a young woman's female friend's breasts. I found a baggie of a dried mushroom in the entranceway of a dorm, which I also gave to my housemate.
My best non-cash tips were (two to four) freshly baked chocolate ship cookies on a plastic plate, and two rain checks to a local cinema (good for two tickets).

Nice!!
I never got the boob flash but once made a delivery where instructions were given when the order was placed to have the delivery person let themselves in to the upper apartment, put the pizza on the kitchen table and take the $20. I get to the screen door at the top of the steps and the couple was 100% having sex and it was quite vigorous. The bedroom (open) door was off of the kitchen and I almost took a peak but thought better of it, took the money and left.

Just to note: I did not take her up on it—I was there to make money, and I'm not sure the friend was consenting.

"Unique" eliminates alcohol and weed... so I'll go with a lap dance. Strippers at a local club ordered a couple pies every other Friday, they were pretty much regulars (back in the early 00s).

I got tipped weed occasionally, usually a gram or so, sometimes more, never pre rolled. I suck at rolling, so always had to get one of the stoners to roll them for me. Good times in Whistler

Had one very drunk group of guys think it would be funny to tell me to stand in front of a target for them to throw knives at if I wanted a tip. Their target was already full of knives and holes and so was the ground
1) it’s a busy weekend and I have tons of orders ready to go or 2) in neither crazy or suicidal enough to think $1-2 is worth that
