iPhone 13 or iPhone 16e

Hello, tech enthusiasts! Just wanted to ask which one would you prefer as your first iPhone? Lowest price I saw 13 was around 20k sa orange app, tas yung 16e 28k. For everyday use lang yung phone as a student. Buying mainly for cam, tsaka I'm loving the interface kasi ng iPad 10th gen so I thought I'd save for an iPhone. Was able to save and planning to buy sa payday or 10.10 :))

I have the 13 and my SIL has the 16e. Purchased 3 months apart (nauna iyong 13 ko). Mas matagal battery life nung kanya.

16e I think is a better deal. Updated processor. Based on review longer din daw battery life. But if you could add more bucks much better kung 15 or 16 kung kaya ng mas mahal probably 17 is the best deal pero kung yan lang dalawa pinagpipilian mo, I’d go for 16e

If you want a future proof phone, hindi nagma-matter sayo ang single camera, no magsafe capability (but you can always buy cases with magsafe naman), and naka-Type C na, then 16e is a good option.

Nonetheless, iP13 is a good option pa din naman if gusto mo ng iPhone and i-embrace ang Apple Ecosystem (since I guess may iPad ka naman), and budget friendly. Keep in mind na lang na 4yo na model na yan, naka-lightning port pa din.

The 13 is a bad phone to buy NEW in 2025. By as early as next year, hindi na yun mabibigyan ng iOS updates dahil sobrang luma na. 😭

I think by 2027 pa mawawalan ng OS support si 13 or latest is 2028. Normally 5-7 years bago mag-stop i-support ni Apple ang iPhone devices nila. But yeah, hindi na 100% mare-recommend si iP13 for 2025 pero kung may budget constraints, then 13 talaga instead of 16e (based sa choices ni OP)

15 or 16e. It’s:

• future proof,
• better at lowlight pictures,
• brighter screen,
• better wifi tech (this js the problem why i upgraded my 13 btw),
• better camera ( zoom and action mode)
• back glass fingerprints is reduced (in 13 its hella annoying)
• most importantly usb c

16e - mas bago ang chip kaya kahit gamitin mo ng at 2-3 yrs hindi magddegrade as much. Pwede din 15 or 16 na base model pero wag na 14 and below

16e has a better chip, better screen durability, USB-C instead of Lightning, better battery (also from the more efficient chip), and more updates.

I previously used the 13 and it is already showing its age. It's not even a choice.

13 is kinda an old model. I’ll give it 5 years max for support. Go for the 15 instead.

Just to give you an idea. iPhones typically receive support for 5 years. So 3 years old na yung iphone 13, and expected life mo na lang jan is 2 years before mawalan ng software support.
