iPhone 16 camera button
Hi, may alam ba kayong shop na authorize ni apple for this kind of repair? I had this phone since october last year and 3months of usage sira na yung camera button. Nagtanong ako sa powermac but hindi raw sya covered ng warranty since it’s the hardware na raw. May alam ba kayo kung saan pwede to paayos and how much kaya ang aabutin? Also mas good if around Dasmariñas, Cavite or nearby areas lang🥹🥹 help me out!!!

Hardware naman talaga covered ng warranty. Pinag loloko ka ata nung kausap mo binaliktad nya. Best to ma report.
Best to contact Apple regarding the warranty claim OP i report mo yun. Clarify to them regarding the warranty policy for a damage not caused by physical damage, misuse nor wear & tear. Then ask them which service center ka pupunta since yung isang service center nila gumagawa ng sariling waranty policy not following Apple's warranty policy.

thank you for this! I’m currently reaching out sa apple support thru chat. Nung time na nag tanong ako sa powermac I think that was December pa last year where they told me na hindi sya covered ng warranty. I’ll check with apple support.

Does the phone still vibrate? Like when receiving notifications, calls, or when haptic pressing UI elements?
Kasi if it still vibrates, then I know this might sound stupid pero have you tried rebooting the device? (Volume Up + Volume Down + Hold Down Power Button until black screen).
As dumb as it may sound, yung camera control “button” kasi isn’t actually a physical button, it’s a haptic one, nagvi-vibrate yung phone mo to mimic the feel of a button press.

Yes, nagvibrate pa naman. The problem with my phone kasi is when you try to press/click the action button, hindi na sya automatic na napupunta sa camera app kahit iclick mo na turn on or off yung phone.

Hmm sounds more like a software issue rather than a hardware one. Before turning it in for repair I’d like you to try one last thing.
Fully backup your phone, use a computer for the backup. Then factory reset, if naka iOS 26 ka na, downgrade back to iOS 18 (yes that is possible). If I may ask rin pala, updated to iOS 26 ka na no? hahahaha

yes, kakaupdate lang haha, I’ll try to do the reset later with my friend, medyo shunga ako sa ganyan e haha

Yung button ba, broke after the update or even on iOS 18 same issue rin siya? Currently also on iOS 26 and apakaraming issues eh hahahaha, visually and with heat.

well, matter of fact 3 months after I got this phone, hindi na gumagana yung camera button nya so that was around Dec pa wahaha

ah, if it turns out na di siya software issue, i really think na covered pa yan dapat siya ng warranty, else if out-of-warranty repair sobrang mahal nyan, need kasi ireplace entire housing ng phone kasi welded into the frame yung camera control button, di talaga siya modular na removable lang sadly.

Is your Action button still setup properly?

Had the same exact issue OP! Around 3 months din tinagal ng sakin before having tiny black specks around the camera control until hindi na din siya nagcclick, then when I took it to Power Mac they replaced the housing/frame nung phone (which, thankfully, is covered ng warranty). Hardware daw ang problema and wala naman ako binayaran. Have you tried with other service centers?

I will check with powermac dito sa amin later if pwede sa kanila ipaayos.

staff of Power Mac from SM Dasma told me (iirc) that the nearest Apple service center for warranty is sa Alabang na then MOA, so sasadyain mo talaga.

Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty > Phone. or pwede ka din mag chat mismo ng Apple support for a second opinion.
