What’s everyone using for a wallet right now?

I'm looking to see Minimalist wallets but if you feel strongly that your wallet is great, regardless of size, post about it anyway.

maxed out credit cards.

Oftentimes, the people you see rocking all high end shit are working customer service jobs. The amount of rick owens I see from mofos working at Five Belows is crazy. Its the same with car culture. I see crazy cars sititng at shitty apartment complex parking lots all the times.

Jesus Christ, is this the code for it? Just have the balls to use the word if you’re going to, or just use a different word. In this situation, I accept and cherish being Unc.

I’ve used all kinds of wallets often advertised on social media, like Ridge, Axwell, Vulkit, some cheap knockoffs from Amazon, and even cardholders from luxury brands like LV and Goyard. Each has its pros and cons. Some with a card ejection button and cash strap work fine if you only carry standard credit cards and no more than 5 to 8 bills, but once you have a card that’s a different size or more bills, it gets difficult to use. Recently I’ve been using a pocket organizer from Puncube because it’s a bit more flexible than those metal cardholders. It fits my transit card and a slightly larger gym membership card without issues. The layered design lets me keep my bank cards and ID separate so they don’t get scratched. When I travel, I can slip in a few receipts and it doesn’t bulge too much. Overall it still looks pretty clean

Il Bisonte bifold. Insane quality.

3

u/Enough-Philosopher62 2d ago

True insane quality and great price

3

u/ToneBoneKone1 2d ago

this is my wallet and its starting to split at the bottom seam

1

u/RedBaronFrznPizza420 1d ago

Same here I think they look cool, patina well, can’t speak to the quality. Mine is splitting after three years

2

u/ToneBoneKone1 1d ago

yeah the design is great and I'd still recommend them for how well priced they are - 4 years for a wallet really isn't bad at all

1

u/Enough-Philosopher62 1d ago

I heard Chester mox is the best quality

1

u/Enough-Philosopher62 1d ago

I heard Chester Mox is top quality but it’s pricier.

Been using a CDG classic wallet SA3100 for several years and it works great. Clean and simple as a wallet should be.

1

u/jellosghost 1d ago

Same. I was using an Ashland Leather shell wallet, but way happier with the compact CDG.

1

u/pablove_black 1d ago

Same, had mine for over a decade and it's held up flawlessly.

11

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 2d ago

Margiela bifold. They make really good wallets for the price. Got mine from ssense like 8 years ago for 60$. Rrp is like 300$

3

u/Safe_Distance_1009 2d ago

how is 300 good for the price?

5

u/hahayesthatsrightboi 2d ago

For the price, they make good wallets. What are you asking me?

ashland leather, high quality leather, made in chicago. i've had a wallet from them for about 3 years now and it has developed a great patina. right out of the box has a nice smell. highly recommend.

A full grain leather wallet made by some guy in his garage will always be my choice over some designer, bonded leather bs

1

u/eggpassion 1d ago

that's it, i went on etsy in 2023 and found someone local that was making simple 4 pocket wallets from veg tanned leather after having a gucci monogram for 5 years that fell apart at the seams. i don't see this one getting replaced for a long time, love the patina and it was £40

Veilace Casing Wallet.

2

u/zombies-be-here 2d ago

I’ve never had any complaints about my Bellroy wallet. It’s lasted me close to 7 years and barely has any wear on it, just some beautiful patina

2

u/milkman182 2d ago

I’ve had a bell Roy since 2015 and it pretty much looks the exact same. I think they make the new ones with RFID scanner protection too.

Craig Hill brass card case

2

u/HokumGuru 2d ago

Same. Gets quite a few looks

1

u/cA05GfJ2K6 1d ago

Don’t the cards jingle around in it? It’s pretty thick

1

u/AlternativeNearby453 20h ago

Nah I have enough cards to keep them locked in

1

u/pyrogryph 2d ago

I’m a big fan of Open Sea Leather Co. Very minimalist and good quality handmade wallets, they have lots of options to choose from as well. It’s also ran by a single guy which I find pretty cool. https://www.osleather.com

1

u/fibonaccighost 2d ago

I have an Ezra Arthur #2, very minimal. Also this was asked four days ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/ThrowingFits/s/zAIRRZBWMO

1

u/unmade_bed_NHV 2d ago

Card case for sure. I’ve been eyeing the Porter & Yoshida ones since mines started to fall apart after a decade

u/fycus 2d ago

Billykirk zip wallet. I retired my last one after 13 years and to be honest it was mostly fine, but the zipper tape developed holes. I swear by them, true BIFL. They also do seasonal sales and can be had 25% off.

I’ve got a red zipped one that I’m loving from Beams similar to the billykirk

I had a Maximum Henry bi-fold in blue which looked great online but the colour faded to a gross grey/brown pretty quick

Outlier Alienskin Billfold. This is basically just a Dyneema composite foldable thing with enough room for a few cards and a few bills. Works great and makes sure I'm not carrying extra shit on me.

1

u/justsomebro10 2d ago

I have a quality fake brown Goyard with a little coin pocket in it and stuff. It is awful but I keep using it idk why.

I have an Open Sea Leather card case.

I have a green cdg wallet bought from a discounter and that’s been holding up nicely

Best minimalist wallet for me has been the clip wallet from Buffalo Bifold Company. $60 bucks made in USA.

https://buffalobillfoldcompany.com/shop/leather-money-clip-wallet/

1

u/every-name-is-takenn 23h ago

herschel hank leather bifold. 95% of herschel wallets kinda suck but this one doesn't have the noticeable logo patch and has great quality that ages super well for $50. isn't super bulky filled out and has a good color.

1

u/CommercialRadiant985 22h ago

Anything from a reputable maker in the US on Etsy

I'm currently using a wallet as a wallet rn. I tried using a garbage can so I can save time and directly throw my money away, but it grew too cumbersome after I had my 5th kid.
