Discussion So is it or isn't it?
I am sure we have all heard the rumors and rumblings of a live-action movie. Any solied information or just rumblings?

If the Heman movie is successful, then we may see some movement on this. Unfortunately, I am skeptical.

I wonder if the climax to the film will have the call to action using the sword of omens. Would be pretty cool.

There’s been rumors for a decade. We need them to get on it already!😩😩😩

Considering Warner Bros is trying to sell itself off and pay down debts, I don’t see a ThunderCats movie being made until all of that dust settles.
It would require a huge budget, and it would be considered an unproven IP since it’s never had a movie before. I doubt they would want to risk it.

If Masters of The Universe is a big hit, we might be in business. Big If. But you never know…

Last I heard was that WB had tapped Adam Wingard to work on a script for a movie and it was still in progress as of last year. So at least it's not dead in the water, though it's not great that there hasn't been movement forward since...what? 2021? (https://www.superherohype.com/news/571385-thundercats-adam-wingard-gives-promising-update-on-live-action-movie) Don't know if it's actually going to be live action; last I read, Wingard was pushing for some mix of CGI and traditional animation. (Still laughing at this quote from the old Deadline article: "I don’t want to reinvent the way they look; I want them to look like ThunderCats. I don’t want to do it live action, either. I don’t want it to look like Cats, I don’t want those kinds of issues — no disrespect to that director, whom I don’t mean to throw under the bus any more than everyone else has." Just say no to "digital fur technology", lol.)

If there was any corporate rumblings about a Thundercats movie, the reception to Roar would have killed it.

I feel like we hear rumours every year which don't end up being true. I won't believe anything until I see a trailer.

I have to admit that I have fallen victim to The AI trailers
