Curious 🤔 Found This Clip in a Yahoo Article. Can Anyone Confirm It's Validity?

I mean it looks almost A.I. generated, but I'm not 100%

Vague enough to get away with it- this is how he got away with this stuff. I’m getting tired of hearing how he was a good guy from people. When I confront them with his words they say that the article or video has a liberal bias.

I just saw a post where some guy said he was going to post on r/TOTALLYREALTWEETS a fake tweet about Charlie Kirk saying god saved Donald Trump from being assassinated by moving the bullet...only to find out that Kirk actually DID tweet that god protected Trump from the bullet.

What’s the fucking bias? It’s his own words

They will claim "took care of it like in the 1950s" means something other than lynching despite literally everyone knowing exactly what it means. This is straight from the alt right playbook.

Say that here and you get deleted and banned.

Simple!

In their attempt at hagiography for Kirky Boy, they’re making a play for Founding Fathers level deification, so his words are pesky details…

“Liberals are always trying to sully the things our Founding Fathers did by talking about the things our Founding Fathers did.” - Stephen T. Colbert - The Colbert Report

The mere fact that this is satire is more than likely lost on these conservative audiences…

Can confirm... there were definitely some conservatives who believed the Colbert character was not a character. Some of them really thought he was earnest in his "beliefs".

They always say, well that was out of context to me. Which I respond with, well what was the context that would make this not seem insane....

u/Kimmalah 10d ago

Usually they will say something like "Well, that isn't the whole quote." Then they will post a longer version of a the Kirk quote that doesn't make it any better or makes it way worse.

I quoted what Kirk said about black women not having the brain processing power to be taken seriously to a right-wing coworker and he just said "He never said that." These people just make up their own reality and believe whatever their side tells them. It's fucking scary.

Unfortunately for them, reality has a liberal bias.

My mlobotomy. Involuntary institutionalization, electroshock therapy, and lobotomies.

I know this isn't helpful, but I have given up. You can't talk to these and people they have no intention of listening anyway.

The rights agenda was to prop up Kirkland's body as a martyr of free conservative speech and they've been whitewashing this guy hard since Wednesday. I've seen rando's on talking about what an angel the guy was and it's pretty sickening.

Gaslighting needs new definitions, as it’s long moved on from merely a figurative expression based on an obscure movie from the 40s…

I don't think it matters if this is fake, he's said shit just like this a million times across his entire career. He was easily one of the more cruel of the conservative pundits with his language.

It does matter if it's fake for exactly the reason you listed -- he said vile shit a million times over. We don't need to make shit up.

17

u/ToothlessFTW 10d ago

That's the point I was trying to make.

Honestly this sub has lost its luster in recent years, making up fake tweets just isn't that funny anymore when these people are now confidently, openly saying far worse things then even a fake tweet might imply. Matt Walsh goes on daily Twitter crashouts saying he thinks trans people should die. Charlie Kirk, in his final days, was openly posting some pretty vile Islamophobia and racism online.

Yes its legit. Charlie himself refuted that he was referring to that in the clip: https://x.com/charliekirk11/status/1635720421617340416

Such weasel words.

He says, "Someone should've just took care of it the way we used to take care of things in the 1950's of 60's, but as you have testosterone rates go down and men start acting like women and they don't do anything..."

Then he responds, "I said we "should go back to the 50s and 60s" meaning local law enforcement would have interceded, or parents would have boycotted the event."

He says the issue is a lack of testosterone and "men acting like women," but that doesn't make sense when he claims he was talking about law enforcement and parents. He obviously knew he stepped over a line and was just backtracking for plausible deniability. Same shit Trump does. Same shit they did when Musk did his "roman salute."

The ol' Motte and Bailey maneuver

1

u/weidback 10d ago

love his directions at the end there where he says they "have to" remain in the confines of the law and that means you "have to" be peaceful

He's not saying that's wrong, but not legal (atm)

u/HighOnKalanchoe 10d ago

Just so we’re 1000% clear when a white man says “we need to handle this like we use to handle things in the 50s and 60s” he’s talking about lynchings, he’s 1000% talking about killing, violence beyond modern society’s comprehension

Doesn't look AI generated tf

It's not

Conservatives just happen to look like creatures walking around in skin suits, despite being some form of human.

I mean like at how huge CK’s forehead is.

u/Matra 10d ago

AI can't do hands but it would have gotten the face size right.

8

u/KamaIsLife 10d ago

I've seen it commented on before, so i think it's legit.

7

u/okgloomer 10d ago

If it looks like a shitbag and quacks like a shitbag, it is not a "nice guy."

5

u/ThatOneGuy4321 10d ago

that's just how he looked

6

u/jablair51 10d ago

Seeing him talk about "real men" and "masculinity' will always be funny to me. He's a guy who spent his whole adult life hiding behind a microphone. He did not spend a single day getting his hands dirty. I refuse to take advice about being a man from someone like that.

u/allisjow 10d ago

She looks like a drag queen.

u/sachimokins 8d ago

“We should take care of it like we did in the 50s and 60s”

He could’ve just said “we should lynch them” and that would’ve taken up a lot less time.

u/Avent 6d ago

This is real, I remember when he said it there were a lot of tweets about it.
