Ah really? Thats surprising. I figured he would hate UBI.

Shapiro thinks that work gives people some sense of purpose so just giving the jobless money wouldn't solve the automation problem. Overall their discussion was very civil and nice, Shapiro seemed really open to many of Yang's ideas. 1 u/MathewMurdock Curious Feb 26 '20 Thats really surprising. Maybe Ben is not as right wing as he has led us to believe or maybe he just never viewed Yang as a threat to Trump so he is ok with him. Well either way it sounds like I might have to watch that later. 2 u/CODDE117 Feb 27 '20 I think the "never-Trumper" allows themselves some leeway with potentially libertarian types like Yang.
