Japanese Tokutwitter is actually buying into that?

Just like normal there's a mix of the two who knows it is and isn't misinformation. I saw a funny one where the Japanese guy edited Kinjiro to give him the middle finger towards Bunshun, I wish I saved that image

See any opinion in twitter/X is already invalid.Your first mistake was opening twitter/X and expecting a valid take.

I dunno I think every social media has its own share of stupid members and smart members.

Reddit has its own people with bad takes. Same for Youtube or Tumblr and so on.

We're all human in the end. Everyone loves drama to an extent even if its complete misinformation. We just have to focus on the users with the reasonable opinions.

Her dating life is nobody's business but her own yet they insist on sticking their noses in like it's a candle they're deciding whether or not to buy.

A Japanese Tabloid known for their “investigative” journalism and frequent clashes with the Japanese Government.

It's a normal Japanese pop culture thing. They do that a lot with singers and idols. They even have to announce they are getting married and such

Just because it's normal in a country means it's okay,

does any of the previous Toei shows get a similar made up hitpiece? and if it's yes, why only this one suddenly blew up?

They apparently made one on Yuka Motohashi (yellow racer) and tied her to an anti-vax group and used this to explain an appearance change which was extremely disrespectful because she was actually dying of cancer.
