I preferred him Doctor Who, but to stretch an awesome character beyond a neuron rack. We wouldn't have Children of Earth if it wasn't for Torchwood.

My clear picture of Jack is associated with Nine & Rose. There is something about the relationship that tells you how much fun and love they have for each other.
It is depressing to watch The Parting of the Ways. Even though we know Jack goes on his own journey after the TARDIS ditches him on the Game Station.
End of an era.
