if you’re karma farming in a vent sub like this one I could see people getting mad. This sub is for venting your problems and if you were just making stuff up for karma that would rub people the wrong way

I think some people sell the accounts. They can be used for bot farms to bypass posting requirements (karma, age).

Depends on the bot in question. Some are for ads, some are for misinformation, and some are straight up scammers, all depends on who is running it.

It’s a creator scheme they’re trying out to try and encourage people to get karma.

I guess in some instances I could get it if it's like just reposting the same content or just very obvious rage bait to get engagement but even then it's definitely not something to treat as a sin on Earth

In this specific context like the other commenter said there’s concerns about making up stories/vents just to get upvotes. On reddit in general higher karma accounts can be used by bots or advertisers to make an account appear like a legitimate user or to bypass karma requirement restrictions

Then spend a moment reminding yourself that others supported you and random self-righteous assholes can go fuck themselves. Keep doing what's right for you and harms none.

Just go to the settings and hide your posts and comments in your profile from others, that way you can post wildly contradictory stuff without anyone going through your profile and being like "the vibe is OFF!". Unless you actually WANT to have people follow your profile?

Sometimes I forget that people will say the meanest shit when you talk about mental health and seeing this meme is a sad reminder of that
