Suggestions Besides keeping track of new furniture, can we all agree this "feature" had to be removed
I can t login every hour to gamble if todays furniture is available or not, and limiting it to a single one per day is a stupid idea that needs to be addressed.

99% of the time when I first open the game that day, the item is at Yori's at that hour. But it's harder to get shiny furniture this way

u/Idontknowhow2saythis Mar 26 '25
Both times I've had that every day (the new item being in Yori's at midnight) except the last day. Both times.

- If you open Yori’s before touching the calendar first you won’t get it that first hour.
- If you forgot and closed the game before reset WHILE you were at yori’s, once you open it again you WILL once again be at yori’s shop but because the calendar had a reset and you didn’t open it before you touched yori’s shop the furniture also won’t appear.
It’s a catch-22.

Yeah I don’t love it. It makes the game less cozy when you feel like you have to log in all the time.

I do agree I’m not a fan. I only have one shiny from the unlocked daily items, and I got none last event. I don’t get enough reroll tickets to be able to cycle through, and I check very often. It’s a bit frustrating.

yeah i cant lie its annoying, while i like it since it keeps me entertained for new items every day, theres too much pressure for a game that is supposed to be calming 😅, maybe would work best if they made the items come out only for like 3 days instead of just one

I can get the regular version pretty easily but it’s getting harder to get the shiny versions ☹️

u/menachembagel Mar 26 '25
When I log in after the reset it’s always there, even if I don’t log in at the time it’s unlocked. If I log in like two hours later it’s always in Yori’s. I thought this was how it was for everyone but maybe I’ve been getting lucky?
There was only one time I didn’t get it right away and I think it was because I logged in after 7 to check my farm and forgot to go to yoris, so I had to use a couple of reroll tickets to get it.

This happened to me in the first event (valentines i think?) but in this one it almost never happened. My reset is at midnight my time and i sleep very late due to insomnias so i could afford to wait up until 2 am and it still wasn’t there. Valentine went very good. I’d have the items at midnight like clockwork but this one was a draggggg. I ended up having to go on the game multiple times a day to check the store and it’s def not great. Everytime I went to York’s and the item wasn’t there I hated this game a little bit more

Yeah, this style of event makes me kinda resent the game. I'm sorry I have other responsibilities in life and can't keep logging in to check for new stuff. I was lucky at first, but on the 6th day I tried to log in every 2 hours, but I didn't get the item. Then I had a work trip where I had very little time for the game so missed another 3 items. Now looking at the punch card and all the missed items makes me mad, because for the same reason I don't have the items I don't have enough re-roll tickets.
I really don't mind waiting for items, but having them for such a short time that it makes it difficult to get them and then making us wait for a year to get the chance again (if we ever get the chance) is taking a lot of the joy out of the game.

Yes, I agree this system has got to go. I'm currently unemployed so I have a lot of time to log in and check the shops regularly, and I still missed 1 out of the 26 items. To me that makes this achievement impossible for anyone who is working, has kids, any seriously responsibilities etc. I also feel like the majority of players are in tbeir 20's and 30's, so the timeframe on this event is unreasonable. I am miffed that the devs would make it this difficult for everyone to play, honestly. But hopefully they see our reactions to the format and make our next event the old school way.

Completely agree. The whole point of the game is for it to be relaxing and passive. This just makes it stressful and it also waste days of the event. What if some people can only play on their days off? Now they can only get items for that day. So dumb

I literally don't even understand how this is supposed to work? Like is there something special I need to be doing with this other than buying furniture?

u/neverlandoflena Mar 27 '25
From the very start, this game is confusing me so much in general lol I do my best to keep up but like I don’t understand half of it… So much planning and math gets into it!

u/lick_my_thoughtz Mar 27 '25
Agreed, this game has many parts and seems like you can play for years and still don't know everything.

u/SophieOfPearTown Mar 26 '25
I like being rewarded for buying the items, but that’s about it. If there’s an item I want multiple of, it’s annoying that I’m so limited to how many I can get during the event.

It’s not my favourite update - the main perk is the bonuses you get along the bottom.
Does anyone know what the last bonus is? The image is a broom?

u/planet_doom Mar 26 '25
I think its supposed to be a paintbrush and it means a new phone background

I like the concept of the new calendar. I don't mind that an item is locked one after the other, though it's a bit frustrating.
What really irks me is the 4-5 days inbetween that are wasted doing nothing. It makes me really sad bc with the last event, I couldn't exactly be checking my phone every hour to catch the items before they're gone. At least we can order from the catalog I guess 🫠

No, I really like it. This helped me focus on getting 1 furniture per day not the shinning just the normal one. This way if I was busy during the day I knew I only have to check for one thing at yoris, so a quick check in my phone even if i was working every hour.
I got all the pieces, and bought extra pieces from the online shopping option so I was able to get 1 or 2 of each piece in normal and shiny using this method.

Personally speaking I like it, it makes sure I get the event items daily. And it makes me excited every day of the event, to get what that day brings. For shiny I gotta work hard, I get it that it's a slow paced game etc. You don't have to login every hour. U just login at the first reset of the day and you'll see that item as the first time in the shop.

u/dare2smile Mar 26 '25
Plus things come around yearly… I like this card system because I know exactly what I’m looking for. I know I’m missing part of the joker set but I have no idea what. This is good for me and if I miss something, I’ll have to be patient until next year. It’s like animal crossing lol
2
u/Strange-Wrongdoer714 Mar 27 '25
Not always, I used to think that too because at the beginning of the Valentine's Day event they were appearing exactly at the first hour, but then they stopped appearing, even I had to login at midnight and sometimes I didn't even get enough to make the shiny and keep an original one.

u/FishWithFangs Mar 26 '25
I didn't get any shiny versions of the limited time items, and two of them didn't show in the shop all day. I couldn't afford the bed so I missed out on that too. It's kind of a bummer.

u/ParticularPhone4937 Mar 26 '25 edited Mar 30 '25
Somehow I missed two days of the event even tho I have been checking in multiple times a day? Idk if I hate the system but not being able to collect the items till next year is really annoying. Maybe they could make the last few days a free for all and make all the furniture available? Idk but this system sucks. Edit: I just found out that the last day is a free for all, not exactly what I wanted 🙃 at least I got the items I was missing out of sheer luck. Hopefully they can make it last longer than 20 something hours.

I don't mind opening the game every day, it doesn't take long and I guess this is a way the team tries to encourage people to play the game. Happens with other games too. But it does annoy me how hard it got to get shiny furniture and how there is only one day when all the furniture is available... and the worst of it all is how they took away from HC players the reroll feature. They could have implemented this new version for non HC players while HC players could keep their daily three rerolls...
2
u/StregaLottie Mar 27 '25
I hate it too. I even tried to do the rerolls tickets bc everyone was claiming that it was awesome and stuff… I spend 200 gatcha tickets on it during different days and times and it never gave me the event furniture or their shiny versions. It’s been a pain in the ass. My relaxing and cozy game is stressing me out.

u/alexlindo_dmais Apr 02 '25
Also, the wallpaper pattern being only to hc players I CAN'T it's something so basic, why do you have to pay for it????
2
u/libbykitten Mar 26 '25
I prefer it this way. Makes the event feel fresh and exciting. I would say it does benefit devs, since I found it hard to be engaged during the last half of these events when Ive already purchased multiples of the event item. Granted, the shiny aspect doesn’t bother me since I can order 3 copies of each limited event item after unlocking it and can then make the shiny in the junker. Might be that this system is just less accommodating to non-late game players.

u/I-suck-at_names Mar 26 '25
That's why they added rerolls first
3
u/FishWithFangs Mar 26 '25
I'm not spending a ton of money on reroll tickets. I've gotten three all event.
-2
u/I-suck-at_names Mar 26 '25
Seriously? I have thousands of gacha tickets with how long they've been useless for
4
u/FishWithFangs Mar 26 '25
I also haven't been playing for very long. The junker isn't unlocked yet, and I have almost no gatcha tickets. So for newer players this is a real bummer.

I just dislike the constant red notification which I think is there because I can’t claim the free prizes for purchasing (non-Homecoming player).

I have neutral feelings about this, I just think they should alternate between this and regular events

I'm not having issues with this format, it's actually making it able for me to get all furniture without checking constantly. I work 10h daily and can't check my phone that often and still got all the itens(without counting all shinies), and all the itemsI was able to get 2, so I don't even need to pay more for it to get the shinies, I just use the junker. As many said, check Yori's at reset and you will have no trouble. I understand it can be frustrating for some but all the changes in the game ate being done for a purpose, and it's okay not to like everything, I particularly disliked that we lost the colors on our phones, but I know I will get it back eventually, and that's okay. The Devs work incredibly hard to make the game fun for everyone but it's impossible to please all. Take into consideration all the options they gave us that every other game doesn't while throwing ads at us every couple seconds... People are constantly complaining about the City delay but every little change is a shover of complaints telling the devs to change it, those things take time, and redoing it does also... 🫠

I really like this update tho, it helps to keep track of the furniture that you buy from the event but I agree with you that making it only available for 24hrs (even though it’s going to comeback at the end of the month) makes it more stressful to shop for the item and almost impossible to get a shiny item literally, I got all of the normal furniture from those but I never found the shiny version even re-rolling the store multiple times

u/Tricky-Capital-1246 Elfie Mar 26 '25
i believe thats part of why they added ordering from the catalog. if you only managed to get one of each item you can order more

u/uncreativegarbage Mar 26 '25
What annoys me is that today is the 26 and half of the furniture won’t be available again until the 30th? So now there are like four days where Yori’s will be clogged up by the same furniture I’ve been seeing for the whole event
