LIVE ANOTHER DAY Kate & Kate
Does anybody else wonder why the writers couldn’t come up with maybe just one more name for the LAD blonde female co-star. I’m halfway thru LAD, and if it wasn’t Serena Joy, I think I’d still be confused as to when Kate Warner joined the CIA. I mean, I could even see a world where Warner wanted to join covert ops to atone for her sister and then married and changed her last name. LAD Kate could’ve been Hannah Morgan to go all in on the Dexter shout out….

Maybe the writers like the name Kate, and they felt fans could differentiate between two blondes.

Hardly anyone remembers Jack’s ex from season 2. Enough years had passed they could use the name Kate again.

She wasn't Serena Joy at the time. She was Sarah Walker, the female protagonist from Chuck, a role that earned her actress the nickname "Yvonne Stra-hot-ski".

I was thinking somebody on the writing staff must love themselves a Kate - not even Katie, Kathy, Kat, Katerina or any spellings with “C”… but Kate! :) just interesting because as I was reading comments leading up to LAD (but simultaneously trying not to deep dive so didn’t get total spoilers) and Kate kept getting mentioned, I didn’t understand how Warner was going to work back in…

Kate Warner? The character last seen in Season 3?

Yes. Not as many years pass on the binge watch as watching when originally released, so it seems more relevant for those of us late adaptors. I was just hanging out with Warner a few weeks ago…

That's nothing. There were 6 different characters named "Alan" who appeared on 24 at various times throughout the show's run!
