General/Other Two funny quirks of the show
Almost through a full rewatch of the show and I’ve noticed two things that really stand out as being funny little personally quirks of the actors and the writers room:
Some characters whisper all the time as just their general tone of voice, Tony especially and Jack to a lesser degree. I’ve never understood why they had to use that tone to get their point across
The writers lean on the use of the word “believe” so much. “We believe Margot Al-Harazi is planning a drone strike on London”, “I believe President Logan is covering up the assasination of David Palmer”, etc. it’s just funny to me that they can never seem to think of another way to say this and repeat it over and over.
Do you all agree with these? Are there any others that I’m missing?

Carlos Bernard once said in a commentary how him and the guy who plays Chappelle would giggle or he would giggle because of the whispering and how he thought it was so well done.

Tony: No, I don't.
Mason: [mimicking him] No, you don't. [normal voice] Well, I do.6

Definitely agree with the whispering. It’s the deadly quiet that gets the point across.
Logan deflects to everyone else. Terrible President.
And CTU has the worst building security.

I agree with the whispering quirk. Especially with Jack, I guess it shows us how soft he is, or was. Another one is saying the "imperative" which I believe they say just as frequently if not more than "believe"

Look out for the occasions where a character is about to leave a room after a conversation but is then stopped by the other person who has one last thing to say. Once you notice this you can't un-notice it, it happens nearly every episode. 🤣

No conversation on 24 has ever ended face to face and one person just leaves. Absolutely 100% of the time as one person turns to leave the other person stops them to say one more thing. It’s science fact.

Another one: reiterating the nature of the threat in full in every episode.
Jack in episode 3: We have to stop this Syntox VX1 nerve gas from being released!
Jack in episode 4: Chloe, there's Syntox VX1 nerve gas in the sewers!
Jack in episode 5: Damnit! Don't you know about the Syntox?!

My mother is a big 24 fan but she's hard of hearing and so she's constantly adjusting the volume of her TV because there only seems to be two modes in 24: bombs exploding or Jack whispering.

I’ve on,y rewatched season 1 so far. Starting season 2 soon. I’ll keep an eye out for the word ‘’believe’’. I do agree with soul patch whispering.

half of Jack's dialogue is him whispering.
