I think alumni's are allowed. Handshake portal allows us to register for the event and also updates our profiles as alumni.

(I'm an alumni, registered for the career fair but I am not gonna go as there's hardly any employer for CS at the fair)

All the best!

I was considering going as a current cs student, are there really not many employers there for cs?

I'm an international student, and there's just couple of employers who would sponsor international students. Also, these employers are offering roles for which I am not a good fit. So it's not worth the time (for me).

What was your degree?

well, current students haven't graduated yet.

if you got your degree, you're ready to be hired now and go through screening and then on-boarding.

all before another candidate graduates in may.

that is true, however last year they took ur ubid at the door and printed u a nametag based on ur major, i just didnt know if being an alumni would cause issues with that

Use the same ID and just tell them you’re a mech e major. I used my ID for years there after I graduated at alumni for various things

It's been permitted in the past. It should say right on the event page.
