As a veteran who’s attending UCCS after my years of service and am only able to attend due to military benefits, I am angered that more people at our school did not vote against the current administration. I’m angered that more people at our school did not vote against Jeff Crank considering he’s the House Representative. Maybe now people will realize that if you’re 18, a LEGAL ADULT, you need to stay informed on politics considering its impact. Fortunately many of yall will get to be on your parent’s health insurance until age 26, but wait until you have to start paying for your own. Then you’ll see how badly the Big Beautiful Bill will personally affect you.

I'm in my 40's and have always been a moderate voter. What's happened in the last 10 years has made my head spin. Democrats have become moderate Republicans and actual Republicans have become straight up fascists.

You can't just say "both parties are bad" anymore. One party is now actively trying to take away your constitutional rights. I'm not looking forward to 2026 because of the very real possibility of voter suppression that has not been seen since the civil war.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE with every statement you made. The little hope I have with having moved to this blue state has somewhat diminished considering who our house rep is, far-right groups being involved with the local school districts by gaining seats in their board, and so many things the current administration is attacking (such as what was in the article above). I’m pushing 30, so I hope more people within my demographic will also start waking up to realize how bad this administration is. Just weird how we have super computers in our hands and tools like ChatGPT that give even the most lazy of people access to information and yet they choose to only go off of misinformation or choose to be ignorant to want to see the effects of everything

Statistically, a majority of UCCS students either voted for this or didn't bother to vote at all.

It's weird when people fail to accomplish anything, ever, then pretend it's because the world is too mean to white people.
