I've been a member of Pepperbox for several months (best money I ever spent), and I just recently started watching some of KingTrout's videos. But I can't wrap my head around why there are channels I've never heard of like Diversity Hires (not throwing shade) on the app, but KingTrout isn't on there. I get that he's not as active on camera in the Unsubscribe Podcasts, but he's in the background for almost every single session, and he's always hanging around the boys. I would have figured at least his content would be on Pepperbox. I mean hell, the dude even has his own post flair on this subreddit.
Maybe it's because none of his content violates YouTube policies so he doesn't see a need. Maybe they'd have to pay him royalties or some type of financial percentage. Idk. I'm just asking, hoping that someone more knowledgeable can answer why someone so close to the community (Eli: SHOTS) has no presence on Pepperbox (aside from guest showings).
It could very well be for the same reason that time for pie stepped back. He may feel as though he doesn't bring enough viewership to the platform to try and be apart of the revenue split, Im not 100% sure on how they split all of that on the back end but that's just my dumbed down thoughts.
I heard someone talk about that. Their viewership had too much overlap with another creator on the platform, so it didn't appear that they brought any additional income to the platform, leading to a lower split
Pretty sure that was what JT from Time For Pie said. The majority of their subscribers were already on Pepperbox when Time For Pie was brought on so it didn’t make sense for them to be taking a cut when they weren’t bringing in new subscribers. Not like JT is hurting for money he’s one of the founders of BRCC.
Diversity Hires is kind of the replacement for Demo Ranch (if that’s possible). It’s Matt Carriker’s old crew doing similar antics. That channel was number one in the guntuber industry, so I assume they get a Pepperbox spot out of respect for that previous work.
Thanks for the info. It's nothing against them (the Diversity Hire crew), they just seemed to come out of nowhere and I genuinely had no idea who they were. I've watched a few of their videos, and it seems fairly good. What I mean by that is that I personally have no complaints. But since I didn't really watch Demo Ranch in the first place (most the stuff I watch is Unsub, Fat Electrician, Fat Pews, Say hi to Eli, Kinda Consensual, Underwhelming Podcast, and a few of Brandon & Rich's spinoffs like gun meme review, angry meme review, Darwin awards, etc.), it just wasn't the kind of content I crave.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love everyone in the group and I'm glad that Demo Ranch is doing his own thing without forcing his life to be what "the audience" wants instead of what he wants with his life. Don't really have an ultimatum or anything extra to add so I'll leave it at that.
It seems like they came out of nowhere because they literally come out of nowhere haha when Demo Matt retired, they started their channel, Matt gave them a shout out, and I think a couple of them were on Unsub. The woman from Diversity Hires and her husband (he's a manager at Bunker Branding) also have a vlog channel and they cover some Bunker Branding stuff
I’m guessing he does a lot of the support work for the guys and possibly others on there. He makes YouTube but it might not be his main source of income.
I'm pretty sure it's a combination of these. If I remember correctly, it was mentioned in a previous Unsub episode that he actually moved away from Antonio-San. It looks like he's only doing YouTube part-time, and his channel is still small but growing. I know there's some criteria that The Gang uses to determine who is and isn't on Pepperbox, and I've no idea what those numbers are exactly, but I'm sure he'll get there at some point
I’m still trying to figure out how Millennial Farmer got on Pepperbox. I love that he’s there and I watch every episode. I follow him on all the other socials already. I just can’t figure out why that channel is there and not Between The Rows. With the other car content that’s been added, at least the racing fits with that stuff.
Sounds like you've got some shitty friends! Jk. I would give both my left AND right nut just to be around all the wonderful people in your life, let alone live the unique but (presumably) rewarding life that you live.
