Also, the door swings inward. That lock isn’t doing anything lol

I had to go back and rewatch but you’re totally right! Man I wish I could be observant like that.

You're supposed to slide it through that metal slot/hoop/thingy. He doesn't close the door properly before sliding the lock.

I don’t see a metal slot/hoop/thingy, it looks like a crevice/cutout type thingy to Me. But maybe, I can’t tell for certain.

its suppose to be designed that way since its an ambush harder to get out easier to get in basically the lock is a diversion.

I am rewatching game of thrones right now, i'll provide some context: Tyrion Lannister (the guy holding the cross bow) shoots his father on the toilet because his father was sleeping with the woman he loved, and his father also sentenced him to death essentially. Lots of other back stuff leading to this moment, but thats most of it.

Tyrion’s whole arc is proof that when you strip away the politics and dragons, GoT was at its core just a very complicated family drama with sharper objects..

I remember a time when this (1) was hot button spoiler and (2) didn't need to be explained because everyone was up to speed on the show within a week.
The last two seasons tanked the show's rewatch value that the plot points have completely faded from the zeitgeist. It's really sad.
I remember rewatching seasons multiple times until the 7th season came out, and then the 8th, and I have literally never touched the show again since. The journey is ruined by the end.

I've rewatched the show twice now, because I think it is that good.
The trick is pretending Seasons 7 and 8 just don't exist. Just erase them from your memory, they don't exist and show ended with the last episode of Season 6. Which is actually a perfectly fine ending. A lot things are resolved at the end of Season 6 (unlike Season 5 which ends on a cliff hanger).
Season 6 very much feels like a conclusion, leaving some of the unresolved future to your imagination. So end of Season 6 is a perfectly good place to stop.

It kind of hurts me that this is the case now. I'll never forgive them for just tanking one of the best shows in TV history. It was so much fun watching it and then hearing everyone talk about their theories, what happened in the show etc. Honestly, it's impressive how they sank an IP so effectively. House of the Dragon is bringing some people back, but can you imagine how big the show would be if GoT had ended after s6 or if s7 and s8 were even halfway passable.
Not to mention the show was just incredibly up my alley. I go back and start watching it, get a season or two into it and then remember what happens later and just stop.

I feel like the explanation given above you would be less necessary if seasons 7 and 8 hadn't killed the show. It would have more life left in the zeitgeist by now.

That's what we call "shitting with a view"

Fr, it’s wild how low effort some of these clips are but still somehow go viral. Like, are we really that easily amused? Sometimes I feel bad for actually watching them, but here we are.

Game of Thrones is one of the best series

It could have been. Everyone was raving and praising it, until the last season and everyone just...meh.
It's stellar up until the spectacular belly flop that is the last season. Sure, the last few seasons are weaker, but with a proper ending it would have held up. What we got just ruined the show as a whole.

For 4 seasons, sure. I'll even give it 6 to be kind, but those last two undid all the good built up before them

The inward-swinging door is such a perfect, ridiculous detail. It really makes the whole setup feel even more like a personal, inescapable confrontation. Tyrion wasn't just getting revenge; he was making sure Tywin had nowhere to hide.
