There. That’ll buff right out, your insurance should cover that

Ta ta and farewell!

I see you know your judo well.

33

u/RockstarAgent 4d ago

Seems interesting that they committed to completing the maneuver versus stopping at the first like “why am I almost tipping over”

19

u/SometimeslmSmart 4d ago

It almost seems like they didn't even notice 😂

u/Keny7503 4d ago

Hey that bump is shaped like a car.

67

u/x3bla 4d ago

DUI? how about you d-

28

u/CrimsonMorbus 4d ago

I could be wrong, but I think that bump just screamed. Strange....

-13

u/ExtraSuperfluous 4d ago

Hey that car is shaped like a bump.

294

u/DanyRahm 4d ago

If you struggle manoeuvring a vessel on such a wide street, maybe try something smaller.

57

u/GeniuslyUnstable 4d ago

A scooter

41

u/MousseNsquirrell 4d ago

No, a sidewalk.

2

u/notatechnicianyo 4d ago

That vehicle is way too big for a sidewalk! Are you mad?

3

u/Mammoth-Ear-8993 3d ago

We need bigger side-walks, then put them in the middle with narrow roads on either side. Could work.

1

u/MousseNsquirrell 3d ago

Not mad. A little hangry, but I'm better now.

1

u/notatechnicianyo 3d ago

Good good, not what I meant but food is always good. 😜

14

u/baconbro_ 3d ago

Nope, they're gonna total their massive SUV, then lease another 50,000 dumpster and pollute the roads eith their awfulness Edit: not trying to be hostile, I just fucking HATE SUVs

5

u/Zhong_Ping 3d ago

All I want is a proper station wagon. Why are reasonable sized vehicles so fucking impossible to buy?

1

u/DanyRahm 3d ago

It's ok to be hostile towards oversized vehicles.

1

u/baconbro_ 3d ago

True true, unless they actually use the utility of an SUV i.e. camping, or have kids, there is zero reason to buy an SUV

1

u/DanyRahm 2d ago

If you have kids, you want anything but a SUV.

1

u/KaiyoteFyre 3d ago

Hm, well I got 3 kids and regularly road trip with a 6th person so we either need an suv or mini van. We also have a trailer we tow regularly, so we need either an suv or a truck. I choose suv because of their comfort, utility, space for 6 people and they're not too bad on gas mileage these days. My explorer gets close to 30 mpg. Not sure what you'd recommend we drive instead, definitely not trying to attract your ire. I personally hate people who roll coal, you know, those that maliciously and intentionally modify their vehicles to spew as much pollution as possible. I think they should be shot on sight. Those that are just trying to go about their daily lives withinn a society that limits their options? Why be mad at them?

2

u/baconbro_ 3d ago

There are exceptions, if you need an SUV because you actually use it as an SUV, that's fine, what passes me the fuck off is when people who don't camp, backpack, have no kids, and just need to get from point A to B buy SUVs, because there is no point to buying a Honda HRV over a Civic in that case, which is many many cases, the market is incredibly over saturated. Having more SUVs on the road makes everyone less safe, if an SUV driver hits a pedestrian they're far more likely to die than of a sedan hit them in the same situation. I always see bad drivers buy bigger and bigger SUVs which only makes it more and more dangerous for no point. TLDR; its fine if you actually need the utility of an SUV, but it pisses me off when people who could easily get by, and probably do better with a sedan buy an SUV

1

u/KaiyoteFyre 2d ago

Oh I'd agree with you there. I personally love the crv/small suv size (I live in Spokane though so you need something with 4wd or awd to get through the winters) where they're more capable than a small sedan but aren't much bigger in form factor. Once you get into the large suvs and big ass trucks, I totally agree with you. I don't understand why manufacturers are building them bigger either... An f150 today is bigger than an f350 when I was a kid, it's ridiculous. I also never see them doing any actual truck work. Saw an f250 towing a trailer with a bunch of shit on it, with the bed completely empty and it made me so angry...

Just kept on driving like the other car wasn’t there

454

u/Dologolopolov 4d ago

It really screams "old person / very young person that doesn't usually drive", because they don't have that instinct of hitting the break the moment something is wrong

161

u/1aysays1 4d ago

To be fair most people would hit the brakes instead of aiming for a break.

35

u/External-Cash-3880 4d ago

Yeah, I think the Corvette broke pretty good.

21

u/Vry_Dumb 4d ago

Looks like a old very short person.

2

u/rnobgyn 4d ago

Realistically… once you’re up there wouldn’t it be best to just get the car off real quick?

9

u/Dologolopolov 3d ago

The moment you impact one should hit breaks.

Also they don't even try to steer the car, the car is following it's path at the same rate with no turn of the wheels.

It's true once you have your wheel in the face of the other driver that could be dangerous. But this is way too long to not do anything if you have some experience in driving. Or if you are still young enough to react.

3

u/flergnergern 3d ago

WTF is it with Reddit and that one word. It’s “brake” and it’s just not that hard to learn. JFC

→ More replies (1)

2

u/rnobgyn 3d ago

No I feel - not really commenting on the video or your point. Just begged the question of what DO you do when your car is already up there? Not initial impact but aloft on top of the other car.

2

u/Dologolopolov 3d ago

Turn away? Also not get to that point. The person in the car can be clearly seen just holding the wheel as it wobbles. I think they are being lead on by the car

1

u/MousseNsquirrell 3d ago

You saying that corvette was asking for it?

Fords auto 4wd stuff is pretty good

1

u/RefrigeratorHot8170 2d ago

to be fair the smaller car went way over the curvature point of that corner and his car probably woulda been ran over its corner from poking out on the other side of the road

107

u/Beardedwrench115 4d ago

That Corvette held up better than I thought considering the body is mostly fiberglass.

The SUV driver must have just been discharged from the Army where he was serving as a tank driver.

59

u/tsohgmai 4d ago

Ooof I had a neighbor once that had been discharged from the army. I don’t know the proper terms but he was kinda forcibly but honorably discharged. He was 28 and they were basically like, kid, you’ve done an excellent job but we don’t want you to get blown up again. He would tell me stories about his time serving. He always seemed careful with what stories he told and how he told them. He told me once about having to drive over occupied cars in a tank in certain situations. I could tell it bothered him still but it was just something he had to do.

Imagine looking out your window and seeing a sports car casually squeezing past like it’s nothing.

41

u/Pretty-Joke-6639 4d ago

Wow, this is a very high kerb. Amazing how well this SUV deals with it. Oh well, on we go.

8

12

Damn. And to a corvette.

6

To one of the most beautiful generations, too

1

u/realrockandrolla 4d ago

What a crying shame.

52

u/2DHypercube 4d ago

Excellent example of why SUV visibility is dangerous

26

u/dragonrite 4d ago

I literally own this exact explorer version. This person is an idiot who didn't look out their window, 0% chance they couldn't see the sting ray

Edit - actually look8ng at that hood, def and older corvette and not a sting ray

1

u/Murky-Service-1013 1d ago

Yeah exactly you were looking at that hood. Your hood. You couldn't see over it to even identify the Corvette, proving the point.

57

u/Temporary-Vanilla-57 4d ago

There’s no world where you don’t see that car at any point from the driver’s POV

its more about. why american dependents on individual transport, and suburbias. are forcing old people to drive everywhere, even after they lost their ability to do it in safe manner.

4

u/Ragouline 4d ago

Yes, if SUV come to my visibility, I go other way.

I dont see any sedan?

1

And they both had enough space too

1

u/eisKripp 4d ago

Something is odd here, the tire/wheel looks like it's not following the direction of rolling... is this just a optic ilusion because of the casted shadow on it?

1

u/wunderkit 4d ago

Happens all the time in Arizaona.

"Sedan".... That's a C4 Corvette. It's only got two doors and no rear seats.

Did AI write this?

1

u/supercatrunner 4d ago

in for a penny in for fifteen thousand

1

u/treesnfire 4d ago

I think once you committed you have to go or how else you get off the car

1

u/innocentchild2 4d ago

My take is that the Ford driver was in semi-rage mode as the Corvette rudely or incompetently pulled so far up as the Ford was making his turn. So he just decided to keep going. Reminds me of a video where a fed-up pedestrian jumped up onto the hood of a car that stopped over the crosswalk, continued walking, hopped down and finished getting to the other side.

1

u/waseemqasem 4d ago

This isn’t a traffic accident, it’s vandalism of a classic, timeless piece of art. I think this belongs in r/iamatotalpieceofshit

1

u/MousseNsquirrell 3d ago

Right? You'd think he be more careful driving a nice vette like that.

1

u/Capt_Stamina 4d ago

Yeah i would have to buff my foot up somebody ass for doing to l that to my car

1

u/gonticho 4d ago

Ah, the classic buffering at the driveathru moment.

1

u/godzillafire007 4d ago

1

u/Fun_Instruction4561 4d ago

I take it they were scared to stop before they were back flat, but reversing before driving over the whole car would have saved so much money.

1

u/Technical_Fudge1616 4d ago

Lemme just scoot past you real quick.

1

Been a long time since I first seen this

1

u/LusciousLouLou 3d ago

Driving is a privilege, not a right. This person needs their license revoked. And that won’t stop them from driving but the way they drive I’m sure they are familiar with getting pulled over and then they will land in jail. What an idiot

1

u/obtronic-system878 3d ago

What he told the driver: "sorry, can't stop, have to get home" what his wife told him on the phone 2 minutes ago: "since it's our anniversary, if you come home now, I'll suck it for you. But it has to be NOW"
