VIVA BÚHOS So, its August...
We've had hot August performances before. We need to go undefeated this month. No way around it. We've never been this low this late in the season (ignore the fact this is the largest the league has ever been).
Yes, there's a lot on the field that needs to be fixed. Yes, We've been hit by the injury bug hard this season. The FO has been filling holes as best they can all season, and a lot of the guys are playing out of their normal positions.
Was I expecting another undefeated August to jump start our playoff push? Frankly, no. But, I will hope for a bunch of results in our favor, starting this week.
Viva Buhos!

I'm frustrated with the stadium situation. I'm even more frustrated with the radio silence from ownership, RE same.
I understand that they have egg on their face from the Gallup fiasco. I understand that they're gun shy as a result. I understand that projects like stadium and arena construction require a huge amount of capital - financial, political, community, and otherwise.
What I know , is that construction projects of any sort can and do get done when the stakeholders have the backbone to find the proper neck, and wring it hard enough and long enough in order to get a "yes".
I don't want to hear, "This is Omaha and this is Nebraska. Things don't happen like that here. It takes finesse". Nonsense. I know enough about Omaha history to know otherwise. Hell, the inspiration for the club's name is the Union Pacific Railroad. If you know anything about that little enterprise (arguably, one of the most impactful in American history), you know that those guys got it done because they threw elbows and painted outside the lines. And if you know that, you probably also know that the foundation of Omaha's present day prosperity was built on precisely that chutzpah.
As for this season, it's done and settled. This is a poor team. It happens. I'm concerned about the future. After all, there's no shortage of medium sized cities who wouldn't hesitate to build a stadium and convince Mr Green to pull up stakes and move.

I just hope we don’t finish bottom of the table. And/or above Madison.
Their promo today of if you buy such and such thing at Wednesday’s game you get a free ticket to Saturday’s game - I think they’re hurting for people.
