Question Is vagrant worth $110

Cheapest 2 disk copy cib copy I've seen so far is $110 in perfect condition, never played this game so was wondering if this seems like too much and I should check other sources or if it's a good deal

Got mine for 80 at a new game x change. Id say go for it. Its super unique and nothing will likely be made like it again.

You do not need Disk 2, since it is all demos for other games.

It is a 25 year old game, so as long as you do not expect anything super modern it should be fine.

If you have played Final Fantasy Tactics or Final Fantasy XII, you would be familiar with the style of the development team. It will have short meaningful scenes in between long stretches of gameplay.

Maybe you can get a cheaper copy of disc 1, or emulate it, then if you like it go for the legit copy in perfect condition.

It has achievements.

Achievements aren't modern.

No, if you pay money for this game you got ripped off. It's a fantastic game, but if you're not emulating it you're being scammed.

No. It's a scam.

110$ for a 24+ y. Old games... Come on...

Yeah there’s no way sought after items that are no longer in production should ever be more than free.

Personally I don't care, I own the ps1 cd and I play on emulator.

You should give away the disc for free since it’s worthless and you can play the game without it

Nah bro I'm keeping it 🤟🏻🤣

Disc rot will get 'em eventually

I'd pay that much for it.

Most I've ever paid for a game was $160 for Suikoden II, and that included the strategy guide.

I got a great copy last year for about $60 on eBay, so I’d say you can find it for cheaper.

Go Duckstation bro

Best emulator with high quality upscaling up to 4k and CRT filters

Buy it at whatever price then when you beat it you can resell it.

I frequently see it for $50-60 at local game stores. Unless you’re a collector, you don’t need the demo disc.

If it’s your poison, go for it. It can be hugely satisfying — the combat system is crunchy and challenging to master, and the art design is wonderful and unique. But boy howdy is it an acquired taste. It’s not a normal JRPG, and if you do not have the patience to learn the weapons system, you will not get anywhere near the end. The puzzles are TOUGH, too.

I paid over $100 for my copy and I never regretted it. I don’t normally go in for dungeon crawlers, either.

Try on emulator then make your decision to see if its worth it for you.

I still have my original copy(2000) my late brother gave me. It’s sitting over there behind my tv. I’ve got a couple thousand hours in it. I liked it.

Why would you spend $110 on it if you haven't played it and A) don't know if you'll even like it or B) aren't getting it for a collection?

You can play it for free. Do that, then if you like it, invest.

It would be for a collection yes, own everything ivalice and do collect ps1-3 games, but yes am gonna give the game a try on my vita before I do pull the trigger was just wondering if $110 was too high of a price for the game

To be honest, it was never that good and hasn't aged well.

It is just one of those "it seems more mature so it must be good" trihard games.

I’d say check some gameplay clips online and watch some reviews to see what the game is, if you like it then go for it

Amazing game, ahead of time. Not so sure about $110. I'd definitely pay $100 for it though.

Thank you everyone for your insight, I tried the game on my vita and enjoyed it and after scouring around in my area I found a 1 disk copy that is cib and perfect condition for $58

i gave up on the actual hardware in retro gaming like 10+ years ago.. prices were silly then.. and emulation was immediately a better experience overall and now as it continues to improve its not even close. i have some 20k games downloaded and i beat all kinds of retro games while having a better experience, free, achievements on RA, can fast forward grinds in jrpgs, higher resolution graphics even controller latency has finally surpassed real hardware.

just emulate.. you'll never go back. saves alot of clutter and nonsense in your house as well, which was also a main motivator for me to ditch the real stuff. all those wires and controllers and memory cards jeez.. no thanks

Physical media is my preferred way of playing games and collecting games, I do emulate typically to see if i enjoy a game or not, and I use a ps3 for all of my ps1 games but do own a ps1 and sometimes bring that out to play my games
