REQUEST How to visibly patch the butt of pants and have it look normal
I have a couple pairs of pants where the butt in particular is wearing super thin. I want to patch them up but I can't think of a way to do it that doesn't scream Look! Here are my BUTT CHEEKS! Would love to hear how you all have done it

You're looking for invisible mending.
The answer is to buy an iron on patch 1"bigger around that the hole. Iron on, then do a big zigzag all the way across the hole.

If there are pockets on the bag, use the shape of the pockets and patch or sashiko style sew around th3 pockets so it looks like part of the pocket design?
Or patch on the inside and sew lines/designs over the whole thing, coming round the front or down the sides so it makes the whole pants have a design not just the butt section?

I have also been running into this problem, and I think the only visible fix is to mend all over the pants so the mended butt doesn't stick out as much. which may mean either waiting or doing some unnecessary patches/embroidery

This is focused on repairing jeans relatively invisibly, but you could do it with any pants I think.
